✨🐾 A HUGE thank you to my lovely friend for letting me use her gorgeous pup to create my very first flat-packed lantern! 🕯️💜

I’ve spent months trying to figure out a way to make lanterns that:
✔️ look magical ✨
✔️ aren’t tacky 🙅‍♀️
✔️ don’t cost the earth 🌍
✔️ are safe + cheap to post 📦
✔️ need zero gluing, cutting or stapling ✂️🙌

… and I’ve FINALLY cracked it! 🎉

This one’s a little tester lantern – I added the 🌙 moon and 🦇 bats because my friend has such a fabulously witchy, spooky vibe, so it felt only right to mix that in with her dog’s design. 🖤

The lanterns are made from vellum with vinyl cut-outs, they arrive completely flat-packed, and you just slot them together like a jigsaw 🧩 – no faffing, no mess, just pop it up and let it glow.

I’m honestly over the moon 🌕 with how this first one turned out, and I can’t wait to make more. Thank you again to my friend for being my guinea pig 🐹 (or should I say protocol pup 😂).

👉 And confession time… she actually hasn’t received it yet 🤭. I might still be enjoying it glowing away in my own house before I hand it over. She’s seen the photos, but I couldn’t resist sharing it with all of you before I’ve even given it to her! 🙈✨

The shape of your pet is carefully cut from black card, with soft vellum placed behind the cut-out. When the little twinkly light goes on, your pet’s silhouette glows gently through the vellum – it’s warm, personal, and just a bit magical ✂️❤️

Best part? It’s super easy (and super affordable) to post – so whether it's a gift or a treat for yourself, it travels beautifully 📦

"Delicate, detailed, and just a little bit magical ✨—this tiny pygmy hedgehog 🦔 has been hand-weeded from vinyl with love and patience ✂️.
I added a soft floral touch 🌸 to bring out its gentle charm, and displayed it with mini bulldog clips 🖼️ for a modern twist.

Hanging it on the wall gives a clean, contemporary feel, while placing it in a window lets the light shine through—sharing hints of green grass and blue sky ☀️🌿.

Each piece is unique, like a little story waiting to be told. If you’re drawn to something a bit different, I’d love to create one just for you.

Just a Little Note from the Heart

I just wanted to share something personal with you all—this little page of mine isn’t actually a business in the traditional sense. It’s more of a hobby, really. By the time I’ve covered materials, postage, and packing, there’s nothing left in the jar (not even for biscuits!) 🐾 But that’s not why I do it.

I do this purely out of love and joy. Creating these pieces and bringing your beautiful pets to life in art is something that gives me purpose. I'm 90% housebound with my lovely girl Marley, unless she’s feeling extra brave or I have help—and some days, the mental challenge is real. But this little creative space helps fill my days with meaning, colour, and connection.

My art might not be traditional—it’s vinyl, it’s hands-on, and yes, it involves a lot of tiny weeding! But to me, it’s another perspective. I take your photo and transform it into something new and meaningful, through my eyes and with my hands. That is art.

I'm not after sympathy—I’m actually incredibly content with my little world, especially with Marley by my side 🐶❤️ I just thought it was time to share a bit more about the person behind the page, and why every like, comment, and message means more than you know.

And if you’ve ever shared my page or posts—thank you! Every single share is incredible in helping spread the word and means so much to me. You’re helping this little passion project reach more pet-loving hearts, and I’m so grateful for that.

A little behind-the-scenes moment I wanted to share:
I recently worked on a custom vinyl piece that really put me to the test.
The materials? Phew... some were way too sticky, some not sticky enough, and nothing stayed consistent. Every step felt like a new challenge.
After four full reworks (yes, four! 🤯) and about 20 hours of hand-weeding and redoing, I finally got it right.
Hand-weeding vinyl isn’t quick or easy — it’s a labor of love, a steady hand, a lot of patience, and a heart that refuses to give up. Even when the materials fight you every step of the way!
I refuse to let a grateful customer down. Even if it means late nights, do-overs, and delays — because you matter to me.
And while I’m truly sorry if it ever comes at the price of a delay, I hope you know that handmade pieces carry a cost far greater than what the price tag shows. They carry hours of dedication, lessons learned the hard way, and a creator’s heart poured into every detail.
Every frustrating moment, every tiny piece I picked away, was absolutely worth it ❤️ — because I know this piece will mean something special to someone.
