This evenings progression session featured some longer trails over different surfaces, some scent transference starts and some pesky walking trail layers🤣

All the teams were fantastic and had some amazing trailing team work, some fantastic reading of the dogs body language really enables the dogs and handlers to excel tonight. Brilliant work from team raph, team Ella, team Dali and team Mabel🤩🤩🤩

Todays mantrailing adventures 😀

This mornings teams keeva, yanna, nel, jac and gruff worked on trail duration and smashed out some stunning longer trails. Nel also managed to squeeze in a cheeky “high” find. Superb work from you all. 😀

This afternoons teams all worked on their own personal goals confidence building was the name of the game for team Sara and team nedw. Progression onto scent article starts for teams nusi and Raina. And a lovely “vanilla” session for team Hugo to revisit his foundations and enjoy a relaxed trailing session. Fantastic work from everyone 😀😀😀

Last nights teams were on fire! 🔥

Massive well done to teams teggy, Mabel and finny who worked so calmly and confidently through some longer (450+m) trails and a scent discrimination exercise close to our vehicles. All the teams worked brilliantly and were totally in sync with one another 😀

I also brought my big lad out to play to give the handlers a chance to set up some trails and coach them. Rover loved it 😀

Friday evening was spent at the lake with some of our more experienced teams working on “water finds”. It was so interesting watching to see how the dogs would indicate on an “in water” trail layer. Essentially the water was an obstacle the dogs had to navigate. Some opted for swimming/wading over to indicate on their trail layer. Others opted to not get their paws wet but to stare at the trail layer and/or bark to indicate. Some tried to navigate round the water to determine the best way in to get their reward. It was a super interesting evening that really challenged the dogs and the handlers. Super work from everyone and a big thanks to Einir from Mantrailing Canines Cymru for a great collaboration session 😀

Super proud of all the teams today. As per usual the weather wasn’t kind to us but all the teams worked their socks off in a highly distracting environment and smashed out their trails 😀 sandy dunes and beaches and pontoons and bridges provided some novel surfaces that the teams had to navigate on their trails. Strong gusty wind also added to the challenge. But all the teams were on fire! Super sniffing from the dogs and some super line handling and reading of body language from the handlers 😀 well done team Hugo, team tia, team hot toddy, team solo and team rory! You all deserve a “hot toddy” this evening 😂

Last nights progression session was awesome 😀 all the teams made huge steps in their own personal journeys. All the dogs were super motivated for the game and are now smashing out more complicated trails with ease. We also had some lovely reading of the dogs body language as well. The nice weather was an added bonus 😀 well done to team Loki, team myrddyn and team beck-Nant 🤩

Today was a mantrailing spectacular. 🤩🤩🤩

This mornings session worked on longer trails in both urban and rural environments and a cheeky double blind decoy trail. All the teams were amazing and casually worked their way through the puzzles. Well done to team keeva, team yanna, team gruff, team nel, team jack and team Hugo 🥰

This afternoons sessions all worked on their own individual progress. But we did concentrate on observing the dogs as they moved over different surface types. We managed 4 different surfaces in one trail and it was super interesting to see how the dogs adapted their trailing over the different surfaces. (Tarmac, grass, slate chipping & woodland) and the dogs also worked on building trail duration. This session also saw belle introduced to the game and she took to it like a natural 🥰 well done and fantastic work from team belle, team raina, team nusi, team Sara and team brenin 😀

Finally this evening I met up with Einir from Mantrailing Canines Cymru for a chance to trail my rover in preparation for some future sessions. So watch this space 🧐

Tonight’s progression session was amazing and all the teams were on fire! All the teams got to work on their own personal challenges and all of them made amazing progress tonight. Team Freddie and team Lui worked on longer and more complicated trails including junctions and road crossings, team teggie worked on distinguishing between fresh/old scent and trail layers hidden in different positions. Team Rwbi smashed out a longer trail with ease after a break from trailing.

All sessions are progression sessions @ £25 per team. I can accommodate introduction sessions on any of the above dates @ £55 per team (please message me for information).

Except for sessions that are labelled as (conwy) all the other sessions will be in the bangor/ anglesey/ caenarfon areas. Exact location will be sent out within 24hours of the start time and will be dependent on the weather and participants booked on. However requests will be considered and venue suggestions welcomed 😀

Please make sure you and your dogs are prepared for any hot weather we may have. Where possible I will try to find suitable locations that may be cooler, but please bring appropriate equipment for warmer weather 😀

Spaces still available in June aswell on the 10th June 6-9pm (one space) and 17th June (one space) and 24th June 6-9pm (one space).

Great afternoon today! All the teams did exceptionally well finding their trail layers who kept disappearing into random places 😂 we found them under the cammo net, we found them wandering about and we found them hiding in the car! They definitely were not getting away today! Great effort from team tia, team Lottie and team nusi 🤩

We have a brand new team to welcome this evening. Welcome to team jago who had a brilliant introductory session. Learning how to play the game and how exciting it is to trail, especially when there are food rewards too 😀 team brennin continued to progress this evening, and in his typical spaniel style aced his first ever scent article start 😀 team myrddin smashed through his trails and learnt that strangers don’t always mean danger (sometimes they mean chicken 😂) and team winni came back on fire after a short break and showed how she never forgot the game and sped through her trails with ease, demonstrating some lovely body language and wasn’t fooled by the decoys!

Fantastic work everyone. Great fun this evening and I’m so pleased to help you all in your own personal progressions 🤩🤩🤩

This evening was a tale of two spaniels who braved the rain and came to play! Well done to team Loki and team rory. Both teams progressed very nicely this evening despite the wet weather. I hope you are all nice and warm and dry now and there are definitely two tired spaniels tonight! 🤩

This afternoons teams were busy utilising all the shady spots to build on their trail durations and we had some fantastic trails in the woodland areas. Then those cheeky trail layers decided to hide in a car again, but this didn’t fool the dogs for long as they all successfully located them 😀 tired dogs and humans today. Well done to team keeva, team Raina, team yanna and team nedw. Superstars 🤩🤩🤩🤩

This mornings session was fun in the sun. Split trails and a cheeky trail layer hiding in a car! Well done to all the teams for smashing out some awesome trails in the hotter weather and for dealing very well with the dog and duck distractions 😂 awesome effort from team Hugo, team bertie, team solo and team finny 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Wow! Todays teams really got to experience the changing Welsh weather. At the beginning of the session it was baking hot and dry and by the third trail we had been treated to some rather refreshing rain!

All the dogs worked their socks off to finding their trail layers underneath the cammo net and the walking trail layers. The dogs also displayed some lovely body language including some NSI's (negative or no scent indications) and we also had some super line handling from the handlers! Well done everyone 😀

Today was a hot one and not just because of the weather! All the teams were on fire! 😀😀😀

Loki aced his first delayed start and showed us just how focused he is on the game.
Sara found her missing mojo and is back to full focus on the game once more.
Wilma hadn’t trailed for a bit, but remembered the game and trailed at (almost) full speed!

This afternoons sunny session was full of laughs but on a serious note team Gwen amazed us all at how quickly she took to mantrailing and trailed like a champion, smashing out her introduction session with ease. Team nedw trailed like a true gent, thoughtful and calm we worked on foundation skills and trailing in the still and hot conditions. Team Sara like to do things her way today and had some great indications when the trail didn’t go where she wanted it to go! Team Nushi trailed lovely working on building on trail duration and reading her body language. Fantastic trailing everyone. Time for a well earned bevvy in the sun 😁

Fun in the sun this morning! Team brenin, team Chloe, team Mabel and team Beck-Nant worked their socks off in this unfamiliar weather! Today was very hot and still which is totally different to the windy and rainy weather they are accustomed to! team brenin worked on building trail duration, team Chloe and Mabel took on the ”bus stop challenge” and showed how their trailing approach differs in warmer weather. Team Beck-Nant aced their first progression session and showed how powerful the dogs nose really is. Despite falling asleep he did earn his certificate (which I forgot to give him on his introduction). Great trailing everyone 😀

This afternoon the teams enjoyed some warm trials and sunshine. The cammo net made its maiden voyage and the teams aced their trails to find their trail layers hidden in open space 😂 (in one pic try to spot the trail layer)! Team teggie and team Hugo also smashed out some longer trails in unfamiliar weather conditions (dry and sunny 🤷‍♀️). Team rory worked hard on his foundation trails and smashed them out spaniel style. Team caradog practiced his scent article starts and smashed his trails in his very own unique way! Great laughs, great company, great dogs! Thanks all 😀

Fantastic work tonight from team Ella. Some really focused trailing following the ground scent even if it looked like she was air scenting. Awesome effort from team skyler, team ember and team moss (sorry no pics of you as I was busy watching for other dogs)! Find of the day goes to Julie for the “bleating tree” 😂😂😂

Todays mantrailing was amazing in the sunshine!
In the morning we had team myrddyn master his second session and even finding an unknown person to him 😀 team Chloe worked through the progression stages on her longer trails and despite being disturbed by an off lead dog, nailed her 350m long trail.

This afternoon we welcomed team Loki to the wonders of mantrailing and he took to it like a spaniel 😂 super chilled lad he had a blast and even personalised his certificate 😂

Team teggie smashed her trails even if she did so it in “teggie style”. Team Raina showed off her body language negating junctions and showing when she was on/off the trail. Team dyfan did some excellent casting to locate the trail and worked really solidly through some tricky puzzles, some even slowed him down a little! Team Sara was focused and with some excellent line handling smashed out her trails including some decoys which she finds very tricky.

Fantastic day. I’m proud of you all 😀

Todays mantrailing was dominated by the spaniels doing what they do best... sniffing! Some fantastic work from brenin as we build on his foundations, Freddie worked his socks off and solo aced his second ever session! Lottie the lab was outnumbered by the spaniels but was not to be outdone as she worked her way through her puzzles.. labrador style. Great observations of body language and great laughs as well! Thanks guys 😀

Tonight’s mantrailing! Team collie and team spaniel. Really looking at body language tonight and learning how to read our dogs and the differences between individuals even if they are the same breed! Some fantastic team work in some swirling and breezy conditions. I also gave the boy a cheeky outing which allowed the handlers a chance set up some trails for us too! I forgot to take a pic of him in action so I got one of him as we got home!
