Top of the desmenses. They look like they’re on a race track 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 later in the walk we came across a man who had lost two of his terriers possibly down rabbit holes. He’d been waiting in the same spot since 6.30 this morning we met him at 10am. So we all went on a search and rescue mission. Daisy and Chase definitely up for the challenge, Riley darting everywhere thinking he was playing hide n’ seek and Tilly trotting around wondering what all the excitement was. Quite an exciting time for them all. Sadly we didn’t find the lost dogs but the owner seemed fairly confident they would come back to where he was standing when we met him an hour ago. I really hope so 🥹

When I first moved here just over two years ago there were quite a few of various migratory and rare birds nesting all over the fields around the area. Then bird flu hit and I have only seen one pair of oystercatchers. Just before bird flu we had just started getting Kites in the area but they’re gone too. I do hope they make a recovery and start returning again.

I hear a lot of scratching noises coming from the room where there’s a cupboard full of dog stuff including treats. This is what I found. Tilly as the decoy trying to look innocent and oblivious to what was going on, Riley as the first lookout, who did not do his role well at all when he thought there was something coming his way, Chase as Second lookout who you can see by his face had done this before with another visitor last year (Meg) and of course Daisy who is not being very quiet about the whole event and not showing any guilt whatsoever that she has been caught red - pawed trying to steal treats while the rest of the burglars look on. UNBELIEVABLE 🐶🐶🐶🐶😱🤣

This is a game I’ve played with Daisy since we moved to Barnard Castle back in 2017 on the same seat. I throw small stones in the long grass and she runs to try and catch them. This morning Meg and Chase joining in, Tilly tried too but it was a bit too rough for her so she waited next to me 💖

Couldn’t resist another video of the gorgeous Monkey! 🐈💖

I’ve been checking in on Tilly’s kitty brother “Monkey.” He is one of the most friendliest kitty I’ve ever come across. Up to now the only present he’s left was the intestines and stomach of some poor little mouse or something like that. I had a word with him and said he didn’t need to leave anymore presents and up to now he hasn’t. Clever Monkey 🐈💖

Another run out to the Desmenses. I wish this walk was where I live. It’s one of the best dog walks I would recommend.

So Nala goes home and Tilly comes to stay. After a few treats and playing in the garden you would think they’d want to come in and relax but no they’re not quite finished yet 🐶💖🐶💖🐶💖

Nala is our guest for three days and soooo nice to have her here again 🐶💖🐶💖🐶💖
