One of our Veterinary Nurses is running the London Marathon! 🏃‍♂️

Some of you may recognise Jack who is one of our RVNs who helps out at the clinic now and again!

Jack is running the London Marathon for the charity Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity who saved his nieces life when she was less than a month old by performing intricate life saving open heart surgery!

He has just 4 weeks left till he takes on the enormous challenge of 26.2 miles!

If anyone would like to donate to his charity fundraising page he’d be very appreciative! Also for every donation given the donor is entered into a draw to win a bottle of champagne 🍾

We’ve moved! We are at Coston Farm Offices in Coston, two minutes from Quail Barn!

Follow the signs to raw milk.
Lots of work being done in the next few days to get sorted but we’re there and moved in!

Meyers Veterinary Clinic has had its application to move into the old Coston Hall farm offices approved by Broadland District Council.

Bingo came for his weekly acupuncture session with Ruth on Thursday evening. He really enjoys how relaxed it makes him feel as you can see in the first photo!!
Bingo is a rescue dog with three legs and has acupuncture to help manage some aches and pains he gets on his remaining front leg.

Here is Remi, the amazing Maine C**n cat. He is HUGE and comes to the surgery on a lead. We learnt a few things about the breed today, they originate from Maine in North America and legend has it, are the off spring of a cat and a raccoon…… although we’re not sure that would play out genetically. Awesome breed, and Remi is such a lovely chap!

Our lovely nurse Kate and trainee nurse Bethany are in the clinic tomorrow, Saturday incase you need any pre Christmas nail trims, a**l gland emptying, top up librella injections or any repeat prescription collecting! 9-12!

Our last appointment this evening was a triple vaccine appointment!
Zola, lab spaniel cross, the youngest and super good despite being a little nervous…..
Banjo, the eldest and very experienced at this vaccination business……
And Oboe, who doesn’t hate the vets at all despite that facial expression!!

We are so pleased that Dr Ruth Howe BVedMed MRCVS has joined us. Ruth is running an evening surgery on a Monday and Wednesday dayat our clinic.

It is so great to be working along side Ruth again!

The little c section puppies are doing very nicely indeed and mostly slept through their mums’ check up today! Puppies will
not open their eyes for about 10 days after they are born! Mum is doing a fantastic job and is healing beautifully after her night time emergency op this week!

Another grass seed today and this time for vet Lisa! What a quick find and efficient removal! It certainly is grass seed season folks!! Lisa is from Mattishall and will be doing three Wednesdays for us in August at the clinic before she starts her specialist hospital job in Bristol.

What a lovely lot of visitors we’ve had today at the Mayers Veterinary Clinic.
The biggest dog we have ever met before came in today.
Floyd is an English Mastiff and is 106kg.
He had some X-rays of his right hind leg and was very well mannered about it all! What a great massive Mastiff!

Today we had a busy Good Friday patching up pets before the bank holiday weekend, we all matched in our figs scrubs, what a great team! Thanks for your hard work today guys!!
