What a lovely lot of visitors we’ve had today at the Mayers Veterinary Clinic.
The biggest dog we have ever met before came in today.
Floyd is an English Mastiff and is 106kg.
He had some X-rays of his right hind leg and was very well mannered about it all! What a great massive Mastiff!

Today we had a busy Good Friday patching up pets before the bank holiday weekend, we all matched in our figs scrubs, what a great team! Thanks for your hard work today guys!!

Did you know that Charlotte is an ‘OV’ an official veterinarian that can issue animal health certificates for animals to travel abroad? Here are Harry and Honey who spent the winter in the Austrian Alps with their owner after putting their export certificate to good use! A happy holiday!

We've now been open for 4 months and what a 4 months it's been!

Massive congratulations to our Veterinary Nurse Jack who has been named as one of the top 30 veterinary professionals under the age of 30 for 2022! 🥳

Last week I was truly honoured and humbled to find out I was within the list of 30 fabulous veterinary professionals who have been named in the Vet Shows] list!

To have some recognition for the time and effort you put into the profession is something we don’t expect because we do it because we care and want to make a difference! Regardless of that it’s truly welcomed and it’s a moment in my career that I’ll never forget.

Thank you to those that nominated me and took the time to explain why and a big thank you to the judging panel for selecting me amongst some fantastic people!

Bea is our fabulous receptionist here at The Mayers Vet Clinic and will be a familiar face and voice whether you're visiting the clinic or have a telephone enquiry.

Bea has always had animals and has a real love of dogs and horses. She rides horses in her spare time and loves going to the Burghley Horse trials and any horsey events that she can get to!

Bea loves spending time with her family especially her two grown up children & spends a lot of time in Spain where her sister lives and is trying to become fluent in Spanish.

She has also lived in Malaysia for two years and traveled quite a lot, she is also a huge fan of early Italian art and used to write for a magazine whilst living in Malaysia about the subject and also organised a large charity fashion show whilst out there which she says was great fun!

Jack is an RVN (Registered Veterinary Nurse) here at The Mayers Veterinary Clinic . He qualified in 2018 from Easton College and has worked in veterinary practices across Norfolk for over 8 years now.

He has specific interests in ultrasonography and emergency & critical care and is often found teaching and lecturing other veterinary professionals around these subjects.
He is currently awaiting exam results for certification in emergency and critical care in which he has undergone further studies for the last two years to increase his knowledge and expertise in the area so that your pets can receive the most up to date knowledge in this area.

He is also an active member of the veterinary profession across social media and regularly shares his exciting news and journey on Instagram & Facebook as .

In his spare time Jack enjoys spending time with his Dachshund Harry and over 30 tortoises! He also plays bowls for Norfolk & England which keeps him very busy when he is not working as a veterinary nurse!

⭐️ Meet The Team! ⭐️

Charlotte qualified in 2006 from the Royal Veterinary College with a distinction for her thesis on gait analysis in three-legged dogs. She returned home to her native county of Norfolk and enjoyed her first five years in practice as a large and small animal vet.

After developing a flare for small animal medicine and surgery she has worked for the last 11 years in small animal practice, being the practice principle for the last five of those years.

As a very experienced vet, there is not much she has not dealt with and more recently she’s gained further experience in emergency and critical care work and has an interest in the European diseases contracted by animals that travel abroad.

In her spare time Charlotte loves spending time with her large family and is working on completing their barn conversion project. She is also a keen runner and loves holidays in the mountains in Mallorca!
