Itβs time to start introducing teams, dogs and team members that will be joining us for the 2023 UKFL Championship that is next week π³.
First up is Thursday which consists of indoor Singles and Little League Singles.
First up is team Shell. This will be her debut into open single racing and we are very excited to see what she can do. Her PB is 4.15s which would make her the fastest German Shepherd in UKFL. Letβs see if she can improve on that at the champs, go Smash it guys π€©π€©.
We have two little league singles entered.
First up is our ginger bambi Phoenix with Charlotte. He has come on so much in the last few months, stopping his chase drive, to carrying his ball and getting his stride right. His PB is 3.94s, letβs see what you guys can achieve, go get it ππ.
Next is our very own Bella Beagle who has been abit of a challenge thatβs for sure. But she has pieced it together and now has a lovely turn and holding her ball all the way back to Jasmine. Her PB is 4.66s and we know she can go faster. Letβs do this Bella π§‘π§‘
All at paws wish you loads of luck π

Today Paws went on a mini training tour at High Flyers head quarters.
We went there to practice our team line ups and single slots for the champs, with lights and to race against other dogs, with our close friends from Ricochet.
It was a very successful day for everyone, the lights really helped us nail our crosses and to practise our starts.
We have 7 puppies on the team as well and it really helped all of them to train in a different environment.
All Iβm going to say is Paws On The Run are back!!!, hitting a new team PB of 14.90s clean.
We even hit a few 14.70βs runs but with spits so didnβt count π£.
This showed that the champs for our A team is going to be very exciting indeed π€©π€©.
A Big thank you to Sharon and all of High Flyers for letting us use your fantastic training venue. Thanks to Ricochet for arranging it and for being great training partners.
Massive well done Paws πΎ what a day ππ.

Last post for this weekend was our league teams on Sunday.
First up was Paws On The Run.
This consisted of - Kiwi, Raine, Riddle, Fume, and Ryval.
Kiwi was sharing a spot with Raine on starts and Kiwi is just a pro. With one of our junior handlers Courtney on starts, they are a dream team. Well done guys.
Next Raine, you guys would of read my post from yesterday. All thatβs left to say is Christine Bunday and Raine you smashed π₯ it π₯°.
Riddle was back after having her puppies and building everything back up and working on her box turn. Joshua Houchen was so happy to have you back and she nailed it kept her turns all day. Well done guys π€©.
Fume second comp back and just flew up the lanes, you are just perfect π .
Ryval did fantastic yesterday with her ball carrying π.
They got a new seed time on Sunday, posting a 15.20s with loads more to give for sure. These guys are just coming back together so bring on the Champs and letβs get an even better time ππ§‘ππ§‘.
Next league team was Paws On The Loose which consisted of - Yogi, Sky, Milo, Bramble, and Flash.
Start of the day was fantastic had some really good clean runs and posted a New Seed Time 16.90s βοΈβοΈ.
Yogi on starts and kept his timeβs consistent through the day.
Sky smashing a New racing PB of 4.06s showing she has come back even stronger and defo didnβt want to be retired π€©.
Milo well is just Milo gets on with the job, itβs his mum that can be hit and miss, but I think Milo was proud of his mum yesterday as she did consistent passing all day with just one early light, get in π₯.
Bramble started the day fantastic, but decided she wanted to test Jasmine Astill in her naughty lane as we call it, running out. Not having that Tracy Layfield and Jasmine worked together and got her back on track. Well done guys βοΈβοΈ.
Flash with Andrew Clarke. started the day great, Barbara Bunday helping Andrew with crosses and release points and he did amazing. Still had a few
We have a lot to shout about from this weekend. But first I want to write about something special that happened at Cambridgeshire Flyball Club at Horsley Fen.
Some people may know that our little red, Raine has had some time out through injury after a bad fall off the box at training.
After being checked out and rested and sorted Tracey Seal was given the green light to train her again.
Raine didnβt think so, her confidence towards the box was not good, we tried everything change handlers, and change the box, even change her warm up process. Still her confidence was not there.
As you may know Chrissie one of our junior members has been running and training Raine for YKC and the pair have built this lovely relationship between them.
So yesterday it was decided to see if she would run for Chrissie in Div 1 which most of you know are very fast teams and a lot of pressure.
Chrissie lined up with Raine on starts with the help of all the team and they just smashed it. Chrissie has some amazing starts and Raine flew up the lane, happy with a fantastic turn.
It was very emotional for the team to see Raine happy again. They both also helped the team get a new seed time together too π₯°π₯°.
Wow to Chrissie who at 10 years old just took Div 1 in her stride, no fear, nothing. You are one amazing kid π€©π€©.
We at Paws πΎ are so so proud of you.
Thank you to Abbie (UKFL Junior official) for awarding Chrissie with 25 points for her points scheme, for what she achieved yesterday, she was so happy π.
Thank you to Cambridgeshire flyball team for a fab comp yesterday, we really had a great time.

Weekend just gone Paws was on tour at Southern Striders Flyball Team competition at Ardingly.
What a weekend we had π€©.
First up was Paws On The Run -
Raine, Kiwi, Fume, Ryval, and Riddle. Lots of Positives for this team. Raine coming back after injury looking good and getting her confidence back. Fume running all day at a competition the first since last year and was smashing some awesome π€© times. Ryval working hard with her handler Tracey Seal to bring her ball back, which they worked out a system that seemed to work perfect. Kiwi with a new handler Jasmine Astill with some hair raising crosses was amazing. Kiwi is a fantastic teacher dog for new handlers. Riddle working hard on keeping her box turn on warm ups and nailed it.
Fastest time of 15.40s, we didnβt place but we did improve on our seed time and we know there is definitely more in the tank for sure.
Well done guys you looked awesome this weekend ππ.
Next up was Paws On The Loose -
Yogi, Sky, Milo, Bramble, and Bonnie. These guys were on fire π₯ Bramble hitting mainly sub 4βs all day and nailing her naughty lane as well. Others hitting 4.1βs most of the day. The best thing is they improved on there seed time and got into the 16βs with a 16.94s and a first place π₯ to top it off. Amazing guys letβs see if we can improve further at the next comp ππ.
We were all buzzing after Saturday and celebrated with a drink π₯ or two π.
On Sunday we had two LLS.
Shell
Bella.
Shells 2nd LLS entry and we went in confident knowing she will nail it. Nail it she did knocking out a New PB 4.25s and a first place. Absolutely amazing work for team Shell, canβt wait to see if we can improve on this at the next comp. Fastest UKFL German Shepherd title in singles, watch out they are coming for that π₯π₯.
Bella our one and only beagle in the team. First LLS entry, yes I think Jasmine was a little nervous, but didnβt need to be. She went up and down the lane, lovely box turn an
Me and Amber are absolutely buzzing today with the boys.
Yogi hitting some very good times his best being 4.09s he was just smashing it. Milo well you know his story with his box work! I am getting more and more 4 footed turns at competitions. I will say again I wouldnβt be there without the help that Iβve had and Tails We Win workshops, with Joe Lamont. Gunna say it again Thank you ππ. One proud mum tonight and the songs really do fit with these videos lol π
Thank you Andrew Clarke for catching the moments π€©π€©.
