4 years ago today I started my own business.

I had no clients and was terrified 😂

But here we are, 4 years on.

Can we talk about how much we really ask from our dogs?

🐶 We expect them to suppress every natural behaviour.

🐶 “Don’t pull on the lead” … But they walk 4x faster than us naturally.

🐶 “Don’t Bark” but that’s literally their voice.

🐶 “Don’t counter surf” … but they were born to forage.

🐶 “Don’t dig” … but they can get bored in the garden.

🐶 “don’t be so excited” … but enthusiasm is their superpower.

🐶 “Just walk calmly past that amazing smell” … but their nose is their primary sense.

Maybe our dogs aren’t asking too much?

Maybe we’re asking them for everything, 🤔

The fact that they try so hard to live by our rules, even when it goes against every instinct, is pretty amazing.

Our dogs deserve credit for how well they’re doing in a world that wasn’t designed for them.

Let’s give them more credit 🐶❣️🐶❣️

Whoever your next groomer is down in Dorset is beyond lucky to be trusted with you.

This is one very special boy and I’m going to miss him more than I can say.

Our last groom together today but I was lucky to have you the last two and a half years.

A piece of my heart will now be in Dorset with you my sweet Monty boy.
