Good evening all ❤️

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your amazing spoods 🕷️

Now I know I haven’t been breeding for some time now but as you can see I have left this page open for the future 👌

Anyway I come with a different mission/request tonight, I am doing the MacMillan mighty hike marathon for cancer in September and need as many donations as possible no matter how small ❤️

So I thought I would just pop on here to see if anyone from my beautiful spider community would like to donate to the cause 🙂

I will be hiking the full 26 miles 😳 and it’s going to be very tough but so worth it if I can help just one family battling cancer.

If you can’t donate then I would like to thankyou for taking the time to read my story anyway and if you do donate I thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Brilliant advice from Bug Print regarding mites xx

Good morning you lot!

Wait, it's 2pm? What the heck! I've blinked and missed today!

Anyway, you guys indicated you definitely wanted to see some mite information, so here is my latest poster for you guys.

Hopefully this reassures you that mites are not to be feared or repulsed by. If you're not repulsed by a springtail then there is no reason to be repulsed by a mite either. Not the ones showing up in your enclosures, anyway.

In fact, continuously using chemicals and pesticides can cause harm to your pets. Continuously cleaning enclosures can make the environment unfavourable and actually make mite populations more likely to irritate your pets in the search for food.

The owner of Advanced Husbandry treats their cultures with predatory mites to prevent an explosion in grain mite populations. So if you are handling the culture tubs and finding tiny mites on your hand or phone after, these are usually predatory mites. I can't speak for other companies that sell cultures.

Anyway, my advice to you is to breathe. Mites have a bad name because of a lack of understanding of what they are and why they exist which leads people to do everything they can to eradicate them. The best bit is, you never will. It's just a fact of keeping the sort of pets that we do. Just let them be. Unless they're spilling from your enclosures - I'd then be concerned whether your enclosure parameters are appropriate for the pets you are keeping.

I absolutely love raising these precious little spoods, and I won’t lie it’s hard work but the feed back I receive from my beautiful customers just shows that hard work pays off 😍

Good evening all.

I just want to say a huge thank you to all that have stayed and supported me whilst I have been dealing with a very difficult time.

As some of you are aware my younger sister fell poorly very quickly and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the middle of November.

I then decided to shut shop so that I could take care of her and never left her side.

She sadly lost her battle mid January, it has broken my heart and I am taking my time to grieve.

However I wanted to let you all know that I will be doing a slow phase return back into Fangtastic Phids and I will have some beautiful jumpers ready real soon.

Keep your eyes peeled 👀

To all of my lovely customers and followers it is with great sadness that I have taken the decision to close Fangtastic Phids temporarily.

This has not been an easy decision especially as I am new to the business but my love care and attention is needed with my family right now.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all the support you have shown me in my short time and I promise you all I will be back.

Save a space for me and most of all don’t forget me lol xx
