Dancer and Prancer are such a cute pair of boys and considering what they have been through, are really keen to say hello to you. They are currently housed outside.

Zippy is around a year old and is currently living in an outdoor hutch. He has such a character on him and is defiantly the loudest of them all. We really hope he finds his new friend soon. We do offer a bonding service here at the rescue for a small donation.

These 2 have pasturella so would need to be the only rabbits. Pasturella is controlled by Baytril when they have flare-ups. It is not cureable and is contagious to other bunnies. They are healthy in every other way.

Seriously what is going on. Someone has actually stolen the plastic box we had outside the front of our house that we had there for if anyone wanted to donate veg to the rescue 🙈😡. I mean it's a plastic storage box for goodness sake. They don't cost that much to buy. Why steal it? We are a rescue. I don't know whether to laugh or be angry. 😏

I know it's super late guys and I have been massively rubbish of late, but I have been quite poorly, whilst trying to run the rescue and keep things afloat here. But I wanted to just show you all what the money you helped us to raise before Christmas has been going towards lately. And yesterday and today we got two big boxes of yummy hay as a treat from The Happy Hay Co. So thank you again for all your amazing support and donations. We honestly can't do this without you xx

Good morning all. So as we end one year and are about to come into a new year, here at our rescue and K&C Rescue, we are hoping that some of you might be looking for something new to do.
We both need volunteers to help our rescues 🐾
So if you can spare a minimum of two hours per week between Monday and Friday and are aged over 18, you will find this work extremely rewarding. ☺️
What we are looking for:
* A minimum of two hours volunteer work
* A willingness to learn how both rescues work.
* People who can help clean out/spot check guinea pig and rabbit cages.
* Someone to take photos on a weekly basis of current and new guinea pigs/rabbits to then be uploaded on to all social media platforms
* Volunteers to be taught how to do weekly health checks on all the current and new arrivals.

So upon someone's suggestion over the Christmas period (from Christmas Eve onwards) we are going to leave a box outside the front of our rescue/house for anyone who would like to pass on their left over/unwanted veg to the guinea pigs here at the rescue. The squeaky pigs can eat pretty much anything apart from potatoes or onions. Everyday they have romaine, round or little gem lettuce and peppers, or the mixed bags of lettuces some with spinach and beetroot in.
Also give them carrots (they love the full roots) kale, corn on cob, a variety of herbs, fruits, you name it they will eat it lol 🙈🤣.
As you know we are now inundated with squeaky pigs and I am sure we will be taking more over the festive period if more are dumped because I won't see them not having anywhere to go.

Afternoon guys. So once again we have today taken in two Guinea pigs in an emergency situation. A gentleman was on his walk with his dog late last night in Hatchwarren near the kempshott roundabout. His dog found them in the brambles. He and his wife were kind enough to take them in and have contacted us. They are now in our care. They are two very young boys. I would say around 3/4 months. They are in very good health considering. If someone has lost these boys then please contact me directly. I will ask for evidence also.
On the other hand I am going to say this again. If this person has dumped these boys, it is NOT ACCEPTABLE. this will be the 3rd lot of piggies this week for us. My rescue is overflowing. But it doesn't mean I will not help where I can. If your situation is that dire please contact myself or Claire at K&C Rescue. I promise we will help as much as we can. Also contact your local vets or Pets at home.
But if you can just wait a few weeks, it is all most of us rescues ask, we will more than likely have space to help. As a country many animals are being dumped. Please stop and think before you buy or adopt.
I do not get any help from the government for running my rescue. It is solely funded by myself and my husband and with the generosity of yourselves the public. Even though I am struggling to keep my doors open, I won't even see an animal dumped or go without. That's it. I'm done. 😢

I know we are now closed but I just wanted to pop on and say thank you to everyone who came on Sunday and yesterday to meet Santa and the guinea pigs event. We had such a good turn out and everyone said what a fantastic time they had.
We want to say thank you so much for supporting us. Because of you we managed to raise £365.26.
I promise to those who I need to email the photos to, I will get these done later. It's just been a busier few days than I expected.
And to those who asked if we will do this again next year. It's a big Yes. We did not realise how popular it would be. So again thank you.

Good morning Guys. We had such an amazing turnout yesterday. Everyone had such a good day.
We are now preparing for tomorrow's Meet Santa & The Guinea Pigs Sun 17th Dec & Tues 19th Dec.
Just for some re-assurance we are making plans for the fact the weather is not looking as nice as it did yesterday. Meeting Santa will be indoors and seeing the guinea pigs is all undercover ☺️
We do still have some very limited space left if you are interested in booking with us. It's £4.50 to come and see Santa and have a cuddle with the Guinea pigs.
We will also have teas, coffee, mince pies and cakes on sale (all under a £1) and some last minute Christmas presents to buy all for under £5.

Good morning.
We cant wait to see you all today ☺️ and the guinea pigs are preparing to look their best for their big day.
Just a few things to mention.
1. A reminder of our address - 210 Gainsborough Road, Blackdam, RG21 3EQ. Please come to the back gate. You will see where we are as I will try to have balloons up (providing they do not pop) and the gate will be open. Also listen out for the Christmas music lol.
2. Parking is not fantastic, so if you cannot get parked please respect our neighbours and park at the car park by Rucstall Primary School on Holbein Close. We are only a 5 min walk from there.
3. Upon arrival we will ask for your surname to make sure that you have arrived at the correct time. We will then introduce you to the Guinea Pigs and of course cuddles will be allowed. But please remember to watch your children with them and do not allow them to run around the rescue. This is to prevent any accidents and also the piggies from becoming scared.
4. If you are interested in adopting any of the guinea pigs we are happy to discuss this with you and answer any questions that you might have, but please remember we will not be allowing any adoptions until after the Christmas period.
5. More importantly we hope that you have a fantastic time here at the rescue 🐹🐾🥰

Meet Lilly another girl we also took in this week. She lost her friend and her owners wanted her to have the chance of finding a new friend either here at the rescue or with a new family of piggies. She is so lovely and currently in our little room in a cage opposite Nugget and her babies. She definitely likes talking to them 😊. Xx

Please watch. To the person who dumped Sophie you are just cruel. I'm sorry but you are. There is a vets right by Asda you could have taken her to! Or you could have contacted us and we would have taken her. Never dump your animals plain and simple I'm upset I'm angry I'm just feeling all sorts right now 😔
