I got to spend a couple of days sitting the lovely Stanley (look at those stunning eyes!!). He’s such a treasure to spend time with, giving out unlimited cuddles and always eager to play with his mountain of toys. Thank you for having me gorgeous boy 🩷

Loved spending some time with gorgeous Axel this afternoon! I was held hostage for a while by him sitting in front of the gate when he saw me get my shoes on 😂 the world doesn’t deserve dogs!

Chasing your dog round the garden with a hose to help it cool down might seem like a good idea but did you know dogs can suffer from water asphyxiation (otherwise known as secondary drowning).
If your dog swallows too much water it can make it's way into the lungs and this can prove fatal.
Signs of water asphyxiation include coughing, signs of chest pain, difficulty breathing, wheezing and extreme lethargy. These symptoms can start to show days after the dog has swallowed lots of water.
If you think your dog may be suffering from water asphyxiation it's important that you contact your vet straight away.

Obviously your dog needs to be hydrated (especially in the heat we are experiencing at the moment) but please don't let them gulp masses of water from a hose or whilst swimming. Lots of owners don't realise how serious this can be.

I hope you’re all enjoying the hot weather 🥵 Just a friendly reminder not to walk our furry friends in certain temperatures (especially those in their golden years, puppies and with exisiting medical conditions)! Some useful advice below:

🐾 A good test is if you can’t hold your palm on the ground for longer than 10 seconds, its too hot for their little paw pads.

💧If out in the garden, provide plenty of water and a shaded area for them to escape to if it gets too much.

♨️ PLEASE PLEASE know the signs of heatstroke (second image) and act quickly and appropriately if you suspect your dog is suffering from it.

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Lucy and I offer pet services in Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Ipswich, Felixstowe and surrounding villages. The services I currently offer are:

As an animal lover and fellow pet parent, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable and loving to look after your animals. I have experience in caring for different types of animals through having pets of my own and caring for them for friends and family. Currently, I have a senior cat named Mikey and a musk turtle called Verne who are my world.
