Hmmm… to report, or to not report?! Just seen one of my regular clients dogs with a doggy daycare company today. The dog was loose on the back seat of a very small white car with one of the walkers and a couple of other dogs (none were buckled or strapped in). The other person driving the car had learner plates on with no one sat in the front passenger seat and they had 8 dogs in car (in boot/backseat/etc - with none of the dogs buckled in safely). Their car is way too small for 8 dogs and any insurance they might have will be completely null and void as a business and as drivers if caught or if they are involved in an accident… whether their fault or not. 🤔🤦🏼‍♂️ A complete disregard for any safety standards.

I’m a humble ‘dog walker’ currently and have chosen to be for over 7 years now. But my choice to be a humble dog walker and carer does not excuse people from treating me with basic respect and good manners. In any job there’s a certain etiquette that should be adopted when communicating with anyone whether my role is believed to be beneath anyone else or if I’m just treated as a clients ‘hired help’. Rudeness is a display of actual or presumed disrespect by not complying with the social norms or etiquette expected by anyone. And I will NEVER tolerate being treated like anything less than I deserve. So if I’m not valued by anyone… that’s okay because it says more about the person who might devalue me. But, I certainly will never tolerate being treated poorly more than once. Never have, never will. I treat all the dogs in my care with the kindness and respect they deserve, so at the very least I expect the same treatment in return and to not be used or taken for granted. It’s not much to expect. Good manners cost nothing
