We saw a gap in the market during lockdowns for covid19, and wanted to make a competition platform that is easily accessible for all and caters for a wide range of equestrians. This also gives riders the chance to compete, who would otherwise be unable to if the shows were physical shows at venues. For example: no access to transport for the horse, rider shares or helps with a horse one day a week
and is not able to regularly practice or take the horse to shows, horse is in rehab after injury, horse has lost a shoe, rider is on holiday etc etc
EquiCompz is run by a team of knowledgeable equestrians with decades of experience in showing - attending shows such as BSPS, CHAPs and BSHA, Horse of The Year Show, Olympia and Royal Dublin Show. We also have experience and a wealth of knowledge in the equine world in general – ranging from miniatures, to donkeys, to mountain & moorland, from driving horses to showjumping, horseball to dressage, trimming/shoeing/farriery/veterinary, from racehorses to breeding many different types/breeds…… the list goes on!! Judges selected for our panel have many years experience in ridden and in-hand showing, breed classes including foreign breeds, working hunter type classes etc. Judges will only be put forward to judge classes that they have relevant experience and knowledge of.
