This week the children in Nursery have been doing the topic of Pirates. We have been reading lots of stories about pirates. The children enjoyed the Pirates Love Underpants Story. We have also been making maps using teas bags and coffee. The children have enjoyed playing with treasure and talking about their treasure (things that are important to them).

We have 2 trolleys of plants that have passed their best, we would like to give these to a school and a care home in the local area. 1 trolley each.

This week the children have been listening to the Rainbow Fish Story and have been learning about under the sea and what creatures may live in the sea. The children have also been playing on the beach and sea in the Nursery Garden and the mini beach in the tray in the classroom and sharing their knowledge of what lives in the sea and sharing special memories of trips to the seaside.

This week in Nursery, we have been reading the story, Mr. Gumpy's Outing. The children have been learning about things that float and sink and have even made a beach in the nursery garden. The children have shared some lovely memories of visits to the seaside.

Hello everyone and what a lovely gorgeous sunny day it is. Just a reminder as it getting hotter, to apply sun cream to children before coming to School, make sure they have sun hats (with their name in them) also, not forgetting their water bottles. Water bottles can be filled up during the day. One last thing, if your child/ren suffers from hayfever, make sure they have their medication before coming to school.

This week the children in Nursery have been looking at the Big Red Bath Story. They have been washing dolls and we even added a bath bomb and talked about what would happen to it and using vocabulary such as "Dissolve". They also talked about the smell and sounds it made and about why we have baths. The children also made rain drops out of water and paint and glitter and drew pictures of the big red bath and what they have in the bath.
