Meet Kingsknoll Bronze Wood, aka Frank!

Frank is an outgoing, quick learning, and handsome 28.3kg young dog from solid working and breeding lines, with great health testing scores.

He is vivacious, eager to please and happy on land and water (in general- the muddier the better!)
Although not worked, he does take part in Gundog training to excercise his focus and drive as part of an active lifestyle.

At home Frank is a soft natured dog, with a lovely temperament and excellent in the company of children of all ages.

It's been a busy day for Frank.... he's travelled to Lincolnshire for his BVA KC routine eye examination and we are pleased to say he is graded as 'clinically unaffected'!

Having had Frank's hip (6/5) and elbow (0/0) scores back a few weeks ago, we are now booked in for his BVA/KC combined routine and gonioscopy eye test on 28th October 😊

History of The Clumber Spaniel 🐾

The Clumber spaniel was introduced to the UK by the 2nd Duke of Newcastle in the 1770s, who named the breed after the family estate, Clumber Park, in Nottinghamshire. As the largest breed in the spaniel family, it was recognised as a perfect shooting companion for flushing game from heavy cover, which made them very popular with nobility. King George V kept a large team of them on the Sandringham Estate, for example, as did the Dukes of Northumberland, Norfolk, Westminster, Manchester and Sunderland on their respective estates to name but a few.
