Last nights training session was with this lovely Lady and her dedicated owner. Ellie is such a smart girl and can now be recalled across the field, and even away from some kibble in the grass! Well done Ellie and Jules 🙌

SHADOW GETTING OVER HER FEAR
Last week I met with shadow for the first time. She did amazing and managed to get into the car with the use of some counter conditioning and play with the ball. This week she seems like her trust in the backseat has been nearly completely restored. We even closed the doors and turned the engine on and she layed down! I never pushed shadow to get in, instead I let her take it at her own pace and gave her plenty of breaks away from the car to make the experience the least stressful it could be. I'm so happy to see the amazing progress in ownly 2 sessions and Im not sure that I need to see Shadow again. Sure gonna miss that fluffy face tho! 😊

SHADOW 😍

Shadow is the sweetest new foundland border collie cross. She developed a fear of being in the back seat of the car after being sick and hasn't gotten in since. We used the clicker to encourage any type of interaction with the car and she eventually got in with a bit of encouragement with the ball and treats. She is still not over her fear but got in and out of the car about 5 times on her own which is great start. Well done Shadow 👏

BOSTON 😍
Meet Boston, he's an excited young lad who likes to jump on guests. Today he learned to keep all four paws on the ground and he did amazingly on his loose lead walk. We also did some tug and 'drop' commands as well as some recall in the yard. Next week we'll take his recall training to the park and see how he gets on on the longline 😁 we'll one Boston and Adam👍

FOCUS and OFFERED ATTENTION Lars is a big great Dane with some reactivity that stems from nervousness around other dogs. However, before we can tackle reactivity we need to build skills and alternative behaviour to substitute the unwanted behaviour with. Lars is not super interested in food but by using some chicken and play we managed to increase the engagement from completely uninterested to offering attention and following me around. The place command with 2 dogs! 😅 The place command is super useful for lots of stuff such as teaching your dog to sit in place (wherever that may be) when guests come over or when you're eating dinner.
