Giving the pooches space to let off some steam in a larger area. That’s in addition to a big garden to play in and countryside walks from the doorstep.

Prices start from £20 for daycare and £25 for overnight stay. Discounts for more than one dog.

After having our little rescue dogs for over 6 years I decided to have them DNA tested. They don’t look that similar, but over 30 dogs were rescued by RSPCA Derby from the same house so there was always a chance. Turns out they are closely related with 34% DNA match which is likely to make them half sisters or auntie/niece, how sweet! 🥲🐶🐶💕

Their breed mix is mostly Cairn, Russell, and Yorkshire Terriers with a bit of Chihuahua for good measure.

If anyone wants to do a DNA test I used Embark and I have a referral code for money off.

🐾 Welcome to Barker’s Little Dog Hotel! 🐾
Located on our smallholding in Alderwasley, our doggy guests have the time of their life tearing round the fields, enjoying peaceful country walks, snoozing in front of the fire and getting lots and lots of cuddles! It goes without saying we absolutely love dogs here, and have two of our own, who came from the RSPCA five years ago.

We offer home boarding and day care in small groups - usually only our two little dogs and one guest (or guests if from the same household). We try and replicate their normal schedule as much as possible to help them feel at home.

If you are looking to book home boarding for a holiday we will arrange a trial day/night first to ensure your dog feels right at home when it comes to their stay.

Whilst we primarily look after little dogs, we may consider medium breeds in certain circumstances - drop me a message to discuss your requirements.
