Sasha is now 10 years old what an amazing dog she has been for me never been any trouble, loads of memories and now helps on some of the sessions with reactive dogs. Couldn’t have asked for a better Whippet.
Had this lovely Mastiff cross Rottweiler in today for some reactivity. She wouldn’t let me near her to start with but managed to get walking with me on the lead and getting her around more people and walking past others with no reaction. She still needs some more work but massive improvement to trust me to walk her on the lead and get close.

Rosa the German Shorthaired Pointer has come on amazing for he’s put all the hard work in and it’s paid off with being consistent with the training. These aren’t for everyone as they have so much energy and they need time and training put in to make a good dog.

Had Willow the Labrador puppy in this morning for help with listening to commands and engaging with her owners. She’s now started on hand feeding as the owners bought her food with her so they could learn how to use it for training. At the start she was all over the place taking no notice of us but by the end of the session we have had her walking at the side and sitting straight away and making eye contact with her owners.

Had Daisy the Cane Corso in today for some reactivity which unfortunately has been caused by an off lead dog attacking Daisy when she was younger. We’ve made improvements today but still some work is needed to build her back up. The attack on Daisy is what’s caused her reactivity which is all down to an off lead dog where the other person had no recall or control. So if you have no recall keep your dog on a lead as I’m getting weekly messages from people that’s dog has been attacked and it’s now caused the dog to be reactive that’s never had any issues.

Some basic obedience doing sits and stays with Echo the Labrador. Starting off with just little stays until we can build it up and get further away without her moving off the spot. She was previously bowl fed but she just wouldn’t listen which is why she is now on hand feeding and it’s making training easier because now she is working for her food. If a dogs left food down all day and it’s been fed too much food why would it listen or want to work for food as it knows foods always there. We aren’t using treats we’re using it’s normal food that it would usually get left down only now it has to do the obedience to get the food out of our hand. Get rid of the bowl if you want to improve with your dog.

Had Lenny the Labrador in for reactivity with cats and certain dogs. In just one session we have managed to get him sat near cats and walking around them and also around dogs with no reaction. Even had a cat run across in front of him which we wasn’t expecting and he just stood there. Absolutely amazing result and such a nice lad he just needed to understand what was expected of him. Done some work with Bella the French Bulldog today being reactive on the lead and lunging towards dogs that walk near her. She wouldn’t bark she would just fly to the end of the lead. I bought my whippet Sasha along to help with the session with her being calm. We worked to get Bella manageable on the lead so it wasn’t a nightmare on walks. We first got her under control then worked with her around Sasha. Once settled we went on a walk and had her around other dogs. Now she will be able to go more places without it being hard work.
