Bolt.on a walk Providing dog walking and care services in Maidenhead and surrounding areas.

I am a dog owner myself and I understand how stressful finding someone local you can trust to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I would expect someone else to care for my dog like it was their own and this is the center piece of why I became a dog walker. I will collect your dog in a dedicated van installed with purpose made and tested canine transit cages. I will walk them for at least an ho

ur with additional time allocated for pick up and drop off. Your dog will be walked to their specific needs, fast or slow, long or short distances. Solo walks or in packs your dog will be exercised in a way most suited to their needs which we discuss and revisit periodically. I am trained in Canine First Aid and CPR, DBS checked for your own peace of mind and fully insured, covering public liability, loss of keys ."

Great to be back at Parkrun getting in the swing of it after some time off. Parkrun PB of the year is easy when it's the first one of the year!

Just so happened to be Maidenhead Parkruns 10th year celebrations and some brilliant fancy dress out there in the sun.

🐶 Training day with IMDT again today 🐾

Completed the IMDT Level 3 Day care and Boarding course recently and it was a brilliant. Well worth it and learnt so much I didn't consider before.

Today is all about improving my knowledge in Professional dog walking.

New vet bed ready to install tomorrow and new van flooring ready to install too. 🤞 For good weather.

All part of the fun when keeping up with the demands of canine care, dog walking and day care adventures.

When a porta loo falls over in strong winds, it's best not to be sat inside when it happens. Unless looking like a Smurph floats your boat.

There are no real regulations in the dog walking industry. Public liability insurance is the only requirement and basic general laws on how to transport animals safely.

Change can be a good thing and overdue for many reasons.

The crown estate have announced new restrictions to both the Windsor Great Park and Swinley Forest. 4 dogs maximum per person and a requirement to apply for a Professional walking permit to use their estate.

Same in many ways as being allowed to ride your horse 🐎 around the same stunning grounds.

We all knew things would tighten up one day. So it's time to adapt and overcome.

Excited to get the pawty started, 2025 back with the walks, play times and these beautiful faces!

We love a new year's resolution, but what about a commitment, a goal or a focus. After all there are 365 chances to nail it 🚀

🐾 Improve social media content and frequency.

🐾 Focus on training for me. - Three courses booked in before March already. Raising my knowledge and understanding to maintain a high standard. Canine first aid, behaviour and rehabilitation, professional dog walking, boarding and animal welfare.

🐾 Grow the business sensibly with new services. - little edits, subtle changes, enhanced and consistent services.

🐾 Play more while on walks, focusing on training alongside fun. - Walks can get busy, but focusing on play and training while having fun so walks are more than just a plod around the park. I always use a rural location and have sole focus on the dogs, but I can always do more.

🐾 Enhance client experience. - it's the little things that count.

Half term freedom offers new horizons. 🐕 This afternoon we treated ourselves to a change of scenery and walked 4km along the Marlow Bottom Scarecrow trail.

Always great seeing the different entries each year. Only one entry received a nervous bark.

Lovely coffee at where you can also pick up the trail map. Free parking nearby as well. What's not to love.

Sometimes you have to see life from a dog's point of view. 🐾

Take it slow, settle down and reinforce calm, social vibes in a highly stimulating environment. Pheasants suddenly breaking for freedom, geese migrating, cyclist going past down the lane all happened for use this afternoon.

But we can sit, in a group whenever the mood takes us, to just be present.

I always "take 5" whenever I can in a group session. Building a good dog starts with a calm and focused dog. Allowing focus on me to be more valuable than the environment we walk through and reinforcing a stop and rest together pays for itself as the horse walks by, or the owner struggling with their dog manages their needs.

Some of the many faces I have been hanging out with this week. Far too much fun this week to keep up with social media.

But it has been so nice to get back to a proper working routine. 🐶

Rural locations bringing plenty of great experiences for some. Horses, hunting, tractors, wildlife on the move. All super practice and opportunities for reinforcement.
