It's that time of year again βοΈβοΈ
I'm already very busy with bookings running into nov, there are a few spots left in Oct but you may be subject to a wait now to get in!
To avoid getting too overrun im currently just sticking to existing clients but am happy to do new horses on existing yards if time. I'm happy to book as far in advance as you like, and also happy to book consecutive clips for the duration of winter.
Usual disclaimer for the sake of my sanity and the health of my equipment:
β’Please!! Can horses be as clean as possible, ideally a bath the night before and fully dry. But I know that's not always possible, so at least a really stiff grooming to lift the grease in the coat π
β’ I havnt yet had to, but I do have a policy of charging a dirty horse penalty if they are clipable but dirty enough to dull blades in one sitting. And do reserve the right to refuse to clip if they're presented to me as a wet muddy bog monster π
β’ If your horse is known to be tricky, be it nervous, sensitive, young or just a bit of an arse, please just be honest, I'm willing to give most a go,and will allow extra time for them. But will call time if they become dangerous to a point of hurting me, themselves or breaking equipment.
I'm always happy to clip with vet sedation or oral sedatives if required.
β’ if you're not sure which clip you want, please ask, I'm always happy to give advice on what suits the level of work and care available. Ultimately the customer always has the final word tho π
Smartie showing how stressful it all was this morning for his full clip π
