❗️RAWHIDE❗️

POSSIBLY THE MOST DANGEROUS DOG TREAT ON THE PLANET!

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white “pure” look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.
If that wasn`t bad enough they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away and then dispose in the bin!

We have some fab stalls joining us at Honeybourne village fete on Saturday 20th July , 11am-3pm at The Leys playing field.

You can get some yummy treats from Meon Treats or something for your pets from Countryside Pets .
Sensational Scents by Elaine will be bringing her lovely bath bombs, and merry may honey will have their observation hive as well as some delicious honey.

There will also be a face painter, as well as stalls ran by the Scouts and the Rotary Club.

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

Weather warning ⚠️ 🥵

Its set to be very hot this up coming week so please if i ask you to come in early or to move your appointment please know your dog safety is my always my priority ❤️. I do have air cooling fans etc which can help in these hot temperatures so rest assured i am doing everything I can to ensure all grooms go ahead as planned !! However no dog has died from missing a groom but blow drying an already overheated dog is dangerous !!!

Please can I remind you all to be so careful with your pooches in this heat , please do not walk them before or to there grooms , your fur babies are best left inside with lots of fresh cool water to drink ❤️❤️ 🐾.

I’m willing to offer anyone a 6am groom this week to accommodate 🥰🥰
