Terms and Conditions
Bookings & Payment
1. Payment in full, including any travel fee, is required to secure a lesson.
2. Lesson fees include a non-refundable 50% deposit.
3. Lesson fees are non-refundable within 48h of the lesson.
4. Ridden sessions can be substituted by a ground archery session if the cancellation falls within the 48h cancellation period due to horse lameness etc and the difference refunded.
5. Cancellation due to weather for outdoor lessons is only acceptable if the weather is both too dangerous to shoot and also to ride. That is, a riding lesson concentrating on ridden skills for horse archery will be substituted for a ridden archery lesson if safe to do so. If not, fees will be transferred to a later date and booked at the time of cancellation.
6. Cancellation of the event by FGN Horse Archery will lead to a 100% refund to participants.
7. Refunds may take up to 5 working days depending on payment type.
8. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Horses & Riding.
1. All riders must have a riding hat that fulfils 2023 safety standards. A list of acceptable safety standards can be found at the end of this document. Hats will be checked by FGN Equestrian at the rider’s first session.
2. Body protectors may be worn but air jackets cannot be used in a group session.
3. New riders will be required to fill out a number of forms. These can be done in advance or on the day. Participation will not be permitted until forms are submitted to the coach.
4. It takes approximately 10-15mins to set up for a session and the same to remove equipment. Please allow for that in your schedule if booking arena time.
5. All sessions will contain an unridden warm up before mounting. Please make sure your horses are ready to be tacked up before the start of the lesson.
6. FGN Horse Archery reserves to right to remove horses, riders or ground participants from the session at any time if there are any safety concerns.
Current hat safety standards
Hats must have one of the following:
* PAS 015:2011
* VG1 01.040 2014-12 – This standard must also have either a BSI Kitemark or a Inspec IC Mark
* ASTM F1163 2004a or 04a onwards – This standard must also have a SEI mark
* SNELL E2016
* AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards – This standard must also have a SAI Global Mark
