Last show of the year & you guys made the most of it!💙⚡️

Sally & Cais won their agility taking them to Grade 3. Spirit wins 2 jumpings and her agility edging closer to grade 4. Teasel brought home a 2nd place & Ziggy & Millie brought in some 3rds!

I’ll be back on my phone responding to messages again from tomorrow so if you’re waiting to hear from me I’ll be on it asap💙

Thank you to those who attended for a super fun morning of Christmas games! The dogs took it all in their stride and produced some amazing runs💙⚡️

To everyone who’s come to lessons this year, thank you for your support. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to train with each week. The progress has been so fun to watch💙

First of the winter shows and for many of these dogs, their first time competing in a busy indoor arena. Clearly no problem for you guys!

Massive congratulations to Su & Millie for winning their G1 Jumping, clear at their first KC show! & throwing in a 2nd place for good measure! 💙⚡️

Well done to Sally & Cais for gaining an 8th place, pesky pole but fastest time with a stunning run💙 Kayleigh and Zira came away with a 3rd. Hilary & Ziggy managed 3 clears, placing 4th and 5th in their jumpings! Callie finished with a 2nd place agility & 3rd place jumping💙⚡️

Blue Spark Agility is growing all the time so if you fancy giving it a go, please do get in touch! These results are only half the story, the fun we have training these dogs and socialising with like minded dog enthusiasts is why we do it. Competing isn’t a necessity, for some it’s goals to work towards and the opportunity to showcase hard work but for everyone, it’s just about spending a time with your dog and having fun together.

This weekends Blue Spark Superstars💙⚡️

Hannah & Mac came away with 5th in his agility, 3rd in his steeplechase & 2 clears! Well done Mr consistent💙

Katie & Risk showed off their epic skills at Iconix for their first show at Grade 6💙

Callie managed 2 x 6th places on some super challenging courses. & Spirit came away with 2 x 2nds and finished the weekend by winning her first Strike to Grade 4!💙🏆⚡️

Looking forward to a week full of teaching and meeting so many more of you!💙⚡️

Winner winner, Zira’s getting steak for dinner!

Unbelievably proud of Kayleigh and Zira today at their first KC competition, winning their first Jumping class! And as if that wasn’t amazing enough, they came away with a second in their agility! Both super confident runs, keeping criteria and flying round. Excited to see what’s to come from you guys!💙⚡️

Little Callie ran her socks off today to win the combined 5-7 agility💙⚡️

⚡️💙NEW CLASSES AVAILABLE💙⚡️

As we approach the 2 year anniversary of Blue Spark Agility next month, we’re celebrating in a big big way!

If you have been thinking about trying agility for the first time, or want to boost your current training… now is your chance! We’re expanding!💙

⚡️New beginner classes!!!
Initially run as 8 week courses, but can lead to permanent spaces:
Early Tuesday afternoon classes to come, please register interest.
- 4.45pm - 6pm Thursday (FULL)
-7.30pm - 8.30pm Tuesday (FULL)
Message the page for more information and get your name down for the time slot you would like! These spaces will fill fast! All dogs to be over a year old and have solid recalls💙

⚡️ 1.15 - 2.30 Wednesday (1 SPACE LEFT) - Pre-comp - for those that have started agility, focusing on finishing their weaves and contacts

⚡️I am also able to offer weekly Tuesday day time 1-2-1s (and potentially more groups to come so do register interest). Beginners/ novices/ competitors all welcome to apply for weekly 1-2-1s.

Wishing a happy 11th birthday to a very important dog today💙

⚡️💙Layla💙⚡️ Aka Layla Lucky Blue Spark

Little bit of back story about my journey into agility and it all starts with this special girl💙

Born 2012, as our first collie, we knew we wanted to try a dog sport. Agility drew us in and she loved it! She was not an easy dog, after falling ill as a puppy, her social skills leave a lot to be desired, but her determination and willingness to work is second to none.
She allowed me to fall in love with this sport. Climbing the grades 1 to 7 and looking after me in my first champ class.
Consistency was her game, becoming reserve open junior champion in 2018 and never falling outside the top 5 in the 2 years that followed before I was too old.
She qualified for crufts 2022 / 2023 and won her class both times aged 9 / 10. She retired from competitive agility at crufts this year, passing the baton on to my sheltie and border collie puppy. She still loves coming to training, mainly for extra cuddles and playing💙

This dog taught me so much, from skills to resilience and patience… and how competitive I am😂

So that’s why we are called Blue Spark Agility. All because of this amazing dog💙

What a weekend for Blue Spark Agility!!

Ziggy gets his first win in Grade 3 with a lovely jumping!💙 Risk goes Grade 6, gaining her last agility win and throwing in a jumping win for good measure💙 Spirit gets 2 more jumping wins! 💙Cais gains his first rosette in his steeplechase & his first trophy (all be it a piece of weave pole he got to keep for breaking it coz he’s just so powerful😂)💙 Zira and Teasel made their debuts, Zira came away with a 5th place rosette in her steeplechase in a very competitive class!💙

First outdoor competition of the season for many and what a competition it was!💙⚡️

Hannah & Mac came away with a 5th place!
Yaz & Eddie at their first competition came in 4th place and I loved watching your amazing runs with Layla! Hilary & Ziggy achieved a 1st, 2nd & 5th!! Shout out to Cheryl & Ella for getting the weaves in the ring for the first time! Callie, Dante & Layla all walked away with wins too!

January Steeplechase show 2023!

Another hugely successful steeplechase show where you all put your best paw forward! For many of you, it was your first competition experience but I’m so lucky to train such a lovely, supportive group of people. Resulting in many of you guys coming away with your first rosettes! 💙⚡️

A great morning with lovely courses from our Judge Sally. All amazing runs. So great to see the progress each time we hold one of these!💙⚡️

💙⚡️As most of the club is aware, I was away on an Agility Instructors Course last week!

I’m pleased to say I passed all my exams with a First! Achieving over 90%, including full marks in my full course critiquing.

So now I am an Agility Club accredited, first class agility instructor! See you all at training!💙⚡️

A year ago today I made this post below. Classes shortly filled and away we went💙 I had no idea what to expect, taking a leap into this huge adventure. Safe to say I have enjoyed every second. Lots of hard work, late nights and so much fun. Meeting so many amazing people and dogs.💙

It’s already grown so much in a year! Full and increasing timetable, steeplechase events, training days. It’s been an incredible year! We’ve had our first grade 1s entering their first competitions and winning their first rosettes. 💙⚡️

The biggest of thanks to the yard owner Kat for supporting me and allowing us at your lovely yard. To the people still training with me a year on, thank you for your on going commitment and support. & finally to anyone that has come to a lesson, I cannot thank you enough!💙⚡️

So here’s to hopefully many more years!💙⚡️
