LEAD TRAINING CATS BECAUSE WHY SHOULD DOGS HAVE ALL FUN…🐈

BENEFITS
•Allows indoor cats to reap the same benefits of outdoor cats whilst eliminating common risks
•Gives cats a confidence boost whether that be with people, dogs, roads etc
•It is a great way to safely exercise, stimulate and burn of excess energy of cats
•Helps build trust and bond with them

TIPS
•The younger they start the easier they are to train
•Get them use to wearing the harness before attaching leads
•Start off somewhere quiet away from roads, groups of people
•Set trails are a good way to get them to walk in the correct direction as opposed to open grassy areas
•Lots of positive reinforcement with treats
•Cats start panting far later than dogs so pick them up/let them rest if they start heavily panting
•Harnesses are better than collars as there is less chance of them wriggling out and also cause less strain

(note: the one issue that originally put us off was the worry of dogs however all encounters were fine and we even shared tables and socialised with dogs with no problems (other than a few hisses to more bouncy dogs). i think as they were on leads too we didn’t experience any aggressions like you normally witness)

Little travel companions for todays pet feeds (can’t tell by their moody little faces that they’re purring in the second picture!!)

TIP: Introducing car travel as a kitten stops the risk of them developing car travel as a fear as an adult cat, gets them use to different environments before they venture outside and also makes vet visits far more relaxed as they don’t have negative associations with travel🚗

Little and large🐾 Odin and Lola enjoying a walking this evening.

The benefits of pack walks include: socialisation and mental stimulation meeting new dogs, confidence building and increase of positive learned behaviour and happiness!!… most dogs love to be part of a group and pack-walking gives them chance to safely play with other pups in a controlled environment.
