I'm a UK based artist living in Birmingham. I draw/ paint things which are personal to you. Your child, a beloved pet, your home. You won’t get one in the shops.

I think the best thing I can say about what I do is it’s personal. Undoubtedly it will have meaning, maybe love attached to it. I've been asked to sketch/paint children, pets, houses, shops and even beloved cars. From a very early age I loved drawing… In school, academic I was not, the only lessons I enjoyed where Art…and (albeit a strange combination) history and RE. On leaving school I knew exa

ctly what I wanted to do…ART. The careers advisor nearly had a fit as she steadily tried to steer me towards child care. In those days, what you wanted to do wasn't as encouraged as it is now. You got a job. Decades on, after a life time in sales here I am. I enjoyed my career and wouldn't swap my history for the world…but now I'm being given the opportunity to do what want, and luckily for me people seem to like it.

What I forgot to say is this is the doorway now, my painting is how I see it when the garden is restored. The grounds have been left derelict for a number of years and with numerous visits from vandals, however now this Grade 1 site is being lovingly restored and bought back to its original splendor.

Yes its been ages I know.......been a tough old year, however I'm back, doing my two loves, art and gardening. Being part of such a beautiful project is an honor and I love the work. If you get the chance come visit, Leasowes Walled Garden.
