National Pet Shop Day 2025 is BACK!🐾🎉

Last year was amazing, but this time, we’re going even bigger and better! We listened to your feedback and have been working hard to make this celebration even more exciting for pet lovers and pet shops alike.

Over 200 pet retailers joined us in 2024, which was incredible for our first year, but we’re aiming even higher this time to shine a light on the important role pet shops play in our communities.

We would like to thank all those who were involved in the first-ever National Pet Shop Day! The response we received both online and in person was incredible, and we can’t wait to continue developing this year on year.

Whether you’re a pet retailer, pet shop worker or customer, your ongoing contributions have been crucial to the celebration of pet shops in the UK and the event’s overall success.

Just one week to go until UK pet shops are decked out for National Pet Shop Day! If you would like to show your support and appreciation for all pet retailers do within the community, make sure to visit your local pet shop next Saturday.

Stores will be jam-packed with prize winners, pet training resources and lots of goodies up for grabs. It will also be a great opportunity to meet some of your local furry friends, as we come together to praise retailers' ongoing commitment to healthy and happy pets.

In light of National Pet Shop Day, we hope to see more pet owners turning to local pet shop workers for advice and peace of mind when treating common ailments.

In order for employees to feel confident in offering such advice, we launched a free online flea and worming training portal to help boost or refresh retailers’ existing flea and worm knowledge.
