I found a bee struggling in the middle of the pavement so I picked him up and walked home with him on my finger to give him some sugar water. Then popped him into a flower in my garden to recover.

I had to take the swamp monsters down to the river, roll my trousers up, take my trainers off, get into the river and wash them all. We dried our little feet and paws off in the field after. Blooming shattered lol.

We made a bucket list for Millie and took her to the seaside last week. She had such a great time. She was treated to an ice cream, we watched the dolphins in the bay, ran on the beach, had a small cream cake, I bought her some very over priced dog treats in the pub and we met up with Olly too on the way there and on the way back after his hair cut.

I have some sad news 

Millie had been sick a weeks ago and I noticed lumps in her throat when I stroked her. I called the vets and they booked her in for the next day at 5.15pm. She continued to be sick all through the night and the next morning so I called the vets first thing and they said to bring her straight up. The vet discovered not only were the lymph nodes swollen in Millie’s throat but also behind her back legs and in her groin / tummy too on both sides of her body. She did blood tests and took samples from each of the lymph nodes for the lab. Unfortunately, the results show Millie has lymphoma cancer. It came like a bolt out of the blue, she’s only 7. The vet said without treatment her life expectancy would be 4-6 weeks! 😱

Millie started chemo last week, both the injection and tablet form including steroids. She had blood tests again this week. The vet said her white blood cell count was low last week at a 6 but this week she wasn’t able to even have the chemo as they’d gone down to 1.5  just devastating. Praying her white blood cell count will go up by Tuesday when she’s due to have another blood test bless her.

Ahh I found this sweet little girl wandering around the woods today on her own. I waited with her for a while to see if an owner was around but there wasn’t. I called the number on her ID tag after a little while of giving her some reassuring strokes. The lady was so grateful, she had been looking for her in the opposite direction. Very happy to reunite them both. 🩷

I’ve always wanted to learn how to draw and paint a dog. For Christmas, my son, Olly bought me a 3 week dog drawing course. I’m absolutely loving it. I thought I’d learn to draw the dog and then fill it in but we started by filling the whole paper in in pencil from one diagonal to the other and then turning the paper round and doing the same in the other direction. We then used the rubber to actually do the drawing of the outline of a dog and then erased the background. This week we worked on shading, highlights and blending. I can’t wait for the final week next week when I fill in the details of the eyes, nose and fur. Here is week 1 and how it progressed during week 2.
