Advance Notice

Since Sept, the bookings we have taken for Oct half term, the Christmas/ New Year holiday period and now January have all been cancelled with a few days notice. Some of these bookings have been made 6 months prior and we have turned down other dogs. Woofa Hotel still has to pay insurances and public liability for this time plus the loss of trade as most clients book in 6 months prior and therefore we have not been able to fill the lost bookings.

Due to this… ALL bookings will now only be secured with 50% non refundable deposit with full payment required 8 weeks prior to the visit.

We are sorry we have had to put this in place, however this is a business and we pride ourselves in only taking one or two dogs at a time (dependent on the dog). Woofa Hotel has 4 sitters across Saffron Walden, Henham & Bishop’s Stortford.

We hope you have a wonderful New Year and look forward to welcoming your dogs in 2025.

It’s been a busy Summer and our books have opened again.

Woofa Hotel offers a home
from environment or dog sitting in your own home.

We require your dog to come for one evening in order to get their golden ticket 🎫 to stay longer, plus it’s important for your dog to know you will return when staying for a longer duration. We only ever do happy dogs. 🐶 ♥️

The golden oldies prefer the comfort of their own homes, this we can accommodate too.

We have 4 sitters in total and offer a drop off and collection service.

Just a reminder to drivers and cyclists.
Most horse riders do not wish to ride on the roads, but some do not benefit from off road tracks and bridleways. Especially in muddy conditions. Despite the change in rules, riders are still having vehicles pass far too close and at unnecessary speeds which is dangerous. Horses can be unpredictable at times and we need to avoid collisions which can be fatal for anyone involved (riders, drivers and the horse).

• Slow down to a maximum of 10mph
• Be patient, never sound your horn or rev your engine
• Pass the horse wide and slow – allow at least a two metres gap
• Drive slowly away

Mimi is back to stay . We have had 5 days with this bundle of joy. Mimi had the funniest of ways. We love how she placed her little paw softly in our arm our just before the alarm goes off, she stands by the door just before it’s time for a walk, she doesn’t like anyone leaving the house 😂, so before a visitor leaves, we pop Mimi in the kitchen with a treat and close the door to prevent her getting stressed.
It fills our hearts when Mimi books in. A rescue originally from Tenerife, with funny little rescue ways.

I’m so cute! Charlie comes for doggy day care. As a puppy it’s good for them to be left for an hour or two, whilst you work but not all day. It’s important they socialise with other dogs, children and animals which prepares them for adult hood. Toddler class for puppies. And the good news is that Charlie is now clean during the day. ♥️

Mimi came to Woofa Hotel for a month and has enjoyed her stay with us. Mimi was a rescue from the streets of Spain, who took her time to warm as a little nervous.
Her mummy was able to go travelling knowing Mimi was in knowledgeable hands. Being food orientated it didn’t take long for Mimi to love us. We will all miss this bundle of fluff

We have loved this pooch for 16 years and it was such a sad day, as she passed over the rainbow bridge 🌈. A HUGE thank you to all her doggy friends who kept her company in her final months. You all really brightened her days ♥️
