There are many aspects to grooming which are difficult & challenging for dogs.

Fear and anxiety levels can often be raised to the point where dogs become overwhelmed, and start to exhibit stress & 'negative' behaviours.

Fear Free, Consent Led Grooming reduces fear, anxiety and stress, giving the dogs back their choice and control over being handled/groomed;

Empowering them to build trust, feel calm, comfortable, and ultimately learn to enjoy being groomed.

I work 1-2-1 with your dog: using compassion, empathy, communication and lots of patience 💙

Let's Talk About Consent 🐾

You may have noticed that I am not a 'regular' groomer.

When I say that, I mean that my policies are a little different.

My entire focus is around giving your dogs the opportunity to give their consent to being groomed.

It isn't about achieving the most aesthetically pleasing groom. It isn't about getting the best photos for social media. It isn't about getting rich.

I will always focus on welfare over vanity. Every single day. At every single appointment.

This in turn means that I will not be a suitable groomer for everyone.
As in turn, not every customer will be suitable for me.

My pricing which reflects my policies, certifications, education and specialist approach, will not suit everyone.

Holistic Grooming. Fear Free Grooming. Consent Led Grooming.
Call it what you will. The concept is the same.

The focus is entirely on creating and maintaining a positive experience for your dog throughout every single stage of every single groom.

It's backed by science. It is proven to work.

Your dogs deserve the very best care.
Your dogs deserve to be listened to.

Today marks 1year to the date that Fluff to Buff Grooming officially started! 🥳

My little business is officially one year old!

I'd like to give a very big shout out to all of my customers.🐾✨️💚

The ones who have me booked on a regular schedule.
The ones who contact me when their pups need a wash.
The ones who follow and support my page.
The ones who are no longer with me, but have previously booked me.
The ones who leave amazing reviews and spread the word.

Every single week is a learning curve.
I've cried. With sadness and with happiness. Mainly happiness!
I've been scared and worried.
I've been excited and overwhelmed with pride.
I've had some unnecessary nastiness from people simply because I stick to my guns and follow my heart.

Following Holistic Grooming Practices makes my business a little more 'specific'.

A little harder to 'sell'.

‼️NOTE TO PET OWNERS - *FIREWORKS TONIGHT* ‼️

Just for those unaware and have pets who are afraid of fireworks - there will most likely be some disturbance with the firework display at the illumination switch on in Blackpool at 10pm.

Close all doors and windows, secure garden gates, provide plenty of safe spaces, and create soothing indoor noise to distract for those pets who get really panicked.

It's such a shame that noisy fireworks are still allowed when there are so many safer alternatives.

I didn't want to introduce this but late cancellations have too much of a knock on effect to not do so. Genuine customers will surely understand.

Future new customer bookings will require a non refundable deposit of £40 to secure their appointment.

This is to be paid at the time of booking without exception.

My minimum charge is £40 for any groom service.
This holding deposit covers my minimum charge.

Should you need to change your appointment, I will require a minimum of 72hours notice.

If adequate notice is given, your holding fee will be transferred to your next appointment.

Insufficient notice will result in loss of deposit/holding fee.

Holistic grooming means real love for every aspect of grooming. 💜

Taking the time to gain the trust from your pup is a huge ordeal. 💙

It is my job to help them understand that grooming can be fun, relaxing and enjoyable. 💚

I allow your pet find a comfortable position before I do.

I will towel dry for as long as it takes if they're scared of the dryer.

I will work on the floor if it suits them.

I will stand in the shower with them while they're being bathed, if it eases their anxieties.

Most importantly, I take time to find that connection, trust, bond and respect 🐾

I find ways that work for them. Not me. For every aspect of the groom ✨️

Often this results in me aching from head to toe every night. My knees hurt from grooming kneeling on the floor. My clothes are soaking from getting so wet. My shoulders and back are sore every day from working at a position comfortable for pup but not for me.

Holistic Grooming means giving it all I have, loving my career and loving each and every doggo in my care ❤️

WARNING ‼️ ‼️‼️

Be careful if you walk your dogs on the dunes by AKS …. There have been a few cases over the past weeks of dogs getting very poorly and passing away. I can’t say definitely it’s as a result of walking there but it’s a common denominator 💔
The veterinary health centre seem to be the vets used so maybe they know more 🤷‍♀️
