Teeth clinic Fridays!!

starting in October I’ll be running a teeth clinic on the first Friday of every month. A consultation appointment will be a good opportunity to discuss your dogs oral hygiene, check their teeth and we can even see if our ultrasonic toothbrush systems will work on your dogs teeth.

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

I realise that I’ve never really introduced myself to you all…. 😱

Apologies…

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Richard Parkus.

I have over 5 years of experience in the dog industry. From dog walking, to dog sitting and now dog grooming.

I think it’s fair to say that I have a penchant for dogs 🐾

I am proud to say that I specialises in breed-specific grooming.

This means that you can achieve a ‘hair do’ that’s specific to your breed and so it’s safe to say that your furry friend won’t be wagging out of the salon looking anything other than their best self.

My gentle touch means that whether you’ve got a new pup or a nervous doggy, they’re quickly put at ease.

I often get told by clients that their dog is nervous, or they don’t like having something done but yet, without stress or drama for the dog, I manage to get the job done.

My passion for dogs extends beyond my salon, as I volunteer my skills to different charity’s to help groom dogs that need a good clean. I also love exploring new hiking trails with my dog Harley the cheeky Beagle, who really should have been called George because his curiosity is off the scale!
