In Hand & Ridden - Coloureds, M&M, Veterans, Ridden- RoR Amateur Ridden Qualifier, Hunters, Cobs, Riding Horse, Equifest Retrained Racehorse, Equitation, Novices Walk & Trot, Turnout, PC/RC, Lead Rein, First Ridden, Junior M&M, In Hand - RoR In Hand Qualifier, 8 x Shetlands, Condition In Hand, Young Handlers, Open Youngstock, Open Adult, Bonny Pony, Handsome Horse, Donkeys, Driving classes. Qualifiers for Equifest, RoR, DBS, SPS-BS, BDS Prize money, trophies, lovely rosettes. Supreme Champion Garland !! Entries on the day are £10, but enter NOW for ONLY £8 per class and save loads-a-money !!! Online entries available with ENTRYMASTER, transaction fees subsidised for this year!!! The small show with the big personality in its 107th year and held at Newby Hall outside Ripon. A fun day out for all the family. This years show date is the 24 July 2022.

URGENT REQUEST

Equine Co-ordinator (s) Wanted!

Do you love all things equine or know someone who does? In order to make our show even more successful we really need your help. Our show relies wholly on volunteers and without them we cannot safely or successfully run our sections. Much of the admin has already been done for this year but we really want to build a successful team for show day and going forward for next year. We have experienced helpers but we do need someone who would like to help build the Equine section. This role could be shared and we do reimburse reasonable expenses.

Please if you have any time to help with the Equine section we would really appreciate it and we are happy to have a chat with you at your convenience, just DM us. Volunteering is rewarding and can be really fun! We are a great committee who get on well together and are striving to make our show as successful as it can be for not just now but also future generations. We are known as a great starter show for young and inexperienced riders and we want to make sure that this continues as well as building our offering to include more classes for the more experienced rider.

Your local show needs you!

Last year, whilst our support was wonderful, the weather was not and unfortunately in order for us to guarantee a future for our show we need more support than normal but at the same time we do understand that this is not the best economic time for any business or individual.

Our show has many chances to advertise your business locally for example you may wish to consider:

Advertising your business in our show programme on show day (3500 attendees plus from as far as Edinburgh and Oxford!)

Sponsoring a class or marquee (From £25)

Have a craft stall or trade stand (From £16 per metre)

Becoming a show member (£25 per adult - family membership available)

Applying for online discounted tickets via the Newby Hall website (Free entry to Newby Hall Gardens and play area on the day)

Our show is set in a superb location suitable for all the family and our ethos this year is back to basics fun! We are very focused on value for money for everyone concerned. There will be plenty to see and do on showday! We hope to make “The Times” national newspaper for a 3rd show in a row!

Any donation, however small is truly appreciated. We are also happy to chat with you about packages that we can arrange for you which can include bar tokens, afternoon tea and much more.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. The future of our show is important to us all and being one of the largest community events in the local area we do hope that you will be able to offer your support in anyway you can.
