Therapaws Canine Rehabilitation Centre is a state-of-the-art facility conveniently located in Bracknell, Berkshire. Our large hydrotherapy pool allows one or two hydrotherapists to be in the water with your dog to ensure the optimal swim for rehabilitation purposes. We also offer physiotherapy and myotherapy as part of your dog's rehabilitation and long-term managment program where required. We ha

ve four hydrotherapists working at Therapaws, to optimise your dog's experience with us. In addition, we offer fitness swims for healthy dogs to maintain or improve their fitness, and also have a weight loss program for the podgy pooch! As a professional rehabilitation organisation, we require veterinary approval from your regular vet prior to any therapy taking place, and we keep your regular vet regularly updated with your dog's progress. Meet Blizzard ❄️

Blizzard is a 4 year old, Alaskan Malamute who has recently joined Therapaws due to having osteoarthritis in her stifles and hips. 🫧

She can be a little bit anxious and coming to a new place can be overwhelming.
We took it slow with her to start as handling was not possible, but over the weeks we’ve built a bond of trust (with the help of chicken) and she is so much more confident with us and with swimming. Allowing us to provide much needed support for her joints. 🐺

Blizzard now pulls to come into the pool room and is instantly in the water before you know it. It’s been so lovely to see her grow into being so happy and loving the experience. We are very proud of her. 🫧

Blizzard will continue at Therapaws for the foreseeable future, to aid in building muscle mass and strength, comfort and pain relief for inflammation, improve her overall joint range of motion and generalised weight management and health. ⛄️

Pre Hydro Cuddles 🩵

Hazel 🍁🧡 3 years old, Labrador

Hazel has been attending Therapaws since 2022, when she first came for a puppy swim. She has since been diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia.

We have been managing her condition through bi weekly underwater treadmill sessions. So much so she is still able to continue her gun work regularly with her owner.

She’s a quiet, nervous girly, but she loves to celebrate post session with tail waggles. 🧡

She does lots of swimming naturally and has been doing really well 🫧

Some recent arrivals at Therapaws for underwater treadmill rehabilitation treatment 🤍

Scout is a gorgeous 6 year old boxer, who has had bilateral TPLO surgeries in both Nov 2024 and Feb 2025. She also has fused vertebrae since birth. She can be nervous, but has been a superstar 🩷

Finley is a beautiful 9 year old cavashon. He is currently 8 weeks post op from TPLO surgery. He also suffers from mitral valve disease that is being managed with medication. He loves a reassuring cuddle, but has adapted so well 🩵

Wilson is a handsome 4 year old labradoodle. He has been diagnosed with an additional L8 fused vertebrae that is causing mild disc protrusion. He’s a super friendly boy that loves to smile 💛

Elsa is a 14 year old cockerpoo and is Koda’s older sister (seen in last post), she had her first session with us on Wednesday, and was a complete natural 🫧

She will be joining us for weekly sessions in the underwater treadmill as advised by The Ralph specialists…she’s a gorgeous girl who certainly doesn’t look or act her age 💗

Good Luck to our lovely client Koda who is going to be having surgery for his patella luxation condition

He has been attending Therapaws since 2022 for pain management and muscle strengthening around the patella.
We look forward to welcoming him back for his post operation rehabilitation as soon as he is ready 🫧🥰

In the meantime, his lovely sister Elsa will be joining us for her first session tomorrow for management of her ongoing Osteoarthritis and recent pelvic lameness 💗
