After everything that has gone on in the last week I am a bit late with this post, here are a few of last weeks highlights with my little friends 🐾

I’ve had a lot of lovely messages this week asking how Bella is after her trip to the vets. Heartbreakingly, after many tests we were told she has cancer and as her blood count had dropped even more, she wasn’t strong enough for treatment. We said goodbye to our precious girl this morning, her little body was too weak to fight anymore. We are utterly devastated, it’s all happened so quickly. Thank you to everyone who has let me change appointments last minute, who have messaged asking after her, let me bring her on walks and thank you for all the kind gifts people have sent her over the years. Give your precious pets an extra snuggle tonight and they’ll all be getting extra cuddles from me too. Sleep tight my little Bella Boo 🩷🐾

Poorly girl 😞
Thinking we were being a bit paranoid we took this little lady to the vets for blood tests as she’s been a bit slow on walks and just not herself.
She was urgently admitted because blood tests showed she had anaemia (usually a sign of a more serious condition in dogs), after ultrasounds and more tests to rule out tumours and other conditions, we could finally go and pick her up.
The vets are pretty sure she has Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia or IMHA, where the immune system attacks the red blood cells, more tests will confirm or dispel this. With meds and rest hopefully things will improve 🤞🏻.
We know our own dogs, if ever something feels “off” or they just don’t seem themselves, please get them checked out. Bella is getting extra cuddles and treats this weekend, I thought we were going to lose her 🐾
