Hi everyone just a quick gentle reminder regarding the lovely weather we are having and your dogs 🐕,please be aware how hot the pathways and roads get and how uncomfortable it would be for us if we was bare foot to walk on them..👣🐾Xx
Temperatures above 20°C can quickly become too hot to walk a dog and depending on their age, breed, size and coat type, the risk of heat stroke increases. Young, elderly and obese dogs, as well as brachycephalic dogs and dogs with health problems, are at higher risk of heat stroke.
To see if it’s too hot to walk your dog on the pavement, you can check the ground by touching it with your hand; if you are unable to keep your hand there for more than 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws. Similarly, sand is another surface that can get unbearably hot in the sun and potentially burn your dog’s paws, so it’s best to avoid it on hot days.
You should never leave your dog in the car on a hot day - not even for a few minutes. This is because the temperature in a parked car rises rapidly, even if the window is open and the car is parked in the shade. In this situation, your dog could quickly develop heat stroke and there is a high risk of death. The same advice applies to leaving your dog in a caravan, shed or conservatory on a hot day.

The visit to the vets was a very positive one for my izzy yesterday. 🙏Her eyelid was un-stitched and her ulcer looks like it’s on the mend. Izzy may not regain all her eyesight in the eye but hopefully she will re-gain a little. Keep on going mammys beautiful girl.💜🐾🙏🥰❤️💋

My own beautiful princess “Izzy” has been having treatment since May for an ulcer on her eye. The vet has had to sew her eyelids together for 3 weeks, hopefully for it to start to heal🙏 . I take her back next Monday to see if it’s healing. Fingers crossed 🤞for my beautiful girl 💜🐾🙏

Poppy’s mum phoned me this morning to say that her beautiful fur baby had gained her angel wings 🪽🪽. Such a shock🥲. I’ve had the pleasure of pampering you for 4 years my sweetheart and never ever had a problem with you because you were such a good girl.
