This is my latest newbie Dennis. He’s an Italian greyhound and is the sweetest boy who is a bit nervous and wary of change. We are taking very small steps to get to know one another but he is super playful and hopefully he will learn to trust me enough to trial some walks but we are going at Dennis’s pace so he feels comfortable and safe. Welcome to the gang Dennis! 💙

I had my first walk with my latest addition Raven today, a 3 year old black lab and what a good girl she is! Super calm and obedient and loves belly scratches so we’re friends already! 🥰

Sadly my time walking Willow has come to an end as she has moved to another part of Bristol. As one of my very first dogs that I started walking I shall miss her loads. Her little chats to me, her excited bum wiggle and her incredible stubbornness when not ready to move! 😂

I had my last walk with Bruno today 😢
I will miss his enthusiastic greetings, his snuffly sniffing noises and his endless desire for love and cuddles! 🥰

In joy and in sadness, in good times and bad, animals can teach us so much about being completely and totally present.

WIth fireworks season coming up I thought I’d share in case these help anyone else. I’ve noticed a marked difference when using them with Griff and he calms down quite quickly and has been known to stay in the room with us and relax (rather than cower in a corner or behind the sofa which was his usual go to)
They are on sale in Rowe vets now for about £2.50 a pack which is by far cheaper than anywhere I’ve seen online. Hoping this may help another dog not be so scared of the loud bangs! 💥

🌟 A special shout out to Rosie this week! 🌟 she’s been working on being brave and greeting new dogs. With the help of willow who she’s bonded with well she’s learning that the world is not so scary and saying hello to fellow doggos can be fun! Well done Rosie, keep up the great work!
