So my Teddy bestie Michelle Turner has entrusted me with her stud of Teddy cavies, Michelle has been my mentor with the breed and has supported me from day one of this project giving me her knowledge, encouragement and fantastic stock. I do not take this trust lightly and will be working hard to continue Michelle’s work and keep the Teddy flag flying! Thank you so much, you will be missed at the shows!!
After an incredible journey since 2018, I’ve made the decision that this year marks a new chapter for me and my teddy guinea pig adventure. What started as a passion quickly grew into something truly special, from breeding to showing, and all the friendships and memories made along the way. I’m so proud of everything I’ve achieved, especially having won one of the UK’s biggest shows and taking Reserve Best in Show at the other two, more than I ever dreamed of when I started!
Over the years, I’ve also been incredibly proud to be part of the Teddy Cavy Club team and Winner of the Teddy Cavy Club points for three years on the trot, a Triple Teddy Champion winner, and even last year, despite not being able to attend many shows, I still placed 3rd in the Teddy points competition. I truly feel like I’ve achieved everything I set out to do, which makes this decision a little easier.
This year, I’ve decided to step back from breeding and take a break from showing. A lot of my breeding teddies, along with my show team, have gone to Guinea Pigs with Greg — and I wish him every success moving forward. I’ll be keeping a few of my much-loved older piggies as pets, of course, they’ll always be part of my life.
Now it’s time to slow things down a bit and explore new opportunities. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way, it really has meant the world 💛💜🩵🩷🧡💚
