This weekend we embarked on our second ever canicross race at cardinham woods apart of Purple Gecko 🙌 mav as always blew me away with her pure passion for this sport.. drive, and ability to work together as a unit 🙌 it’s really quite incredible the bond you can achieve simply though a harness ( and though endless love, obviously 😉 ) couldn’t be prouder of my girl.. there’s truly nothing she can’t put her mind to ✨

And as always, if running, hiking or jogging is something you think you could enjoy more safely, fully and properly with your dog, get in contact with Fran North Cornwall Dog Walking 🙌🏃‍♀️

Quiz night coming on the 5th April all in aid of Bude Animal Friends, which boasts a multitude of different local animal organisations in bude & surrounding.. run by incredible people striving and advocating for each animal in their care.. from dogs to horses, birds to bats these incredible people really do it all, relying heavily on public donations to keep going and to keep helping every animal in need.. ✨ a share, a like a penny or a pound goes such a long way.. so please do come and join us for a wonderful evening at House of Chaplin supporting Bude Animal Friends 🐶🦅🦇

The bar will be open.. the quiz will be enchanting & for all our raffle lovers in the house we have a fantastic one waiting for you 😉 plus a £50 cash prize for best quizzer!

This weekend me & may took on our first Devon Howlers, Newnham Bark race 🥺🏃‍♀️ to say I’m so incredibly proud of my girl is a huge understatement.. against every struggle she’s had her determination to power through & drive to give so much to everything she does is a superpower.. how lucky am I to have her by my side 🥺🙌 I mean.. just look at that happy face!!

A big thank you to Fran from North Cornwall Dog Walking to getting us into canicross, supporting us and providing all of her knowledge in this sport to get us to this point.. having a qualified and extremely knowledgeable person to guide us is second to none for the health & safety of my girl! 🙌 we were joined by many of the canicross group Coastal Canines South West .thegsp & so many more! 🏃‍♀️ a wonderful day of people who just really love their dogs 🙌

4 years ago I was worried If maiva would even be able to walk a mile this far down the line… and now shes entering races and running like a rocket 🚀🚀

So this weekend maiva upgraded to chief bridedog..

💍 we are very happy to announce that Theo popped the all important question & as our crew’s favourite play mate how could I say no?! 😉 may is still unsure as to where her ring is.. but we think a rabbit ear will do for now 🐰🫣 now it’s time to make a decision between all of the crew as to how long there going to let me keep the ring mud free.. I give it a day 😉😆

Happy gotcha day to my baby may ✨ 4 years of you stealing our hearts each and every day, 4 years of adventures, loving you, big smooches & even more incredible memories by your side! I will never forget when we picked up ( what once was ) a very timid, fragile girl who had been wonderfully cared for by Margaret Green Animal Rescue while we were on the path to find her.. to the now very spicey mountain girl who will happily accept any opportunity for a smooch 💋 each walk, and every roll reminds me of the incredible journey she’s been on.. and how she’s overcome everything life threw at her, she’s older.. way more entitled.. definitely more bossy but I wouldn’t change it for the world ✨🤎

Happy new year from the Brecon Beacons 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 me, the girls and Theo escaped for a winter break ( no, not to relax.. that’s not on maivas 2025 bucket list 😉 ) our mountain girl took us to 4 of the highest places in wales.. so she can look down and embrace she really is top dog and queen of our world 😉🗻 forever and always proud of my may baby & bill bob for simply being the most incredible girls to adventure this world with 🤎 so happy new year from my family to yours! May this year be filled with more adventures with our crew & so many more memories ✨

Maiva was on diy duty getting over 50 ornaments made for our wags family ✨ she is very impressed with her work ( of course 🤭 ) thankyou all for the support & custom this year.. we appreciate each and every one of you for making my dream possible.. so to save a long speech ( saving that for another day 😉 ) we hope you all get merry and have a wonderful day! 🎄✨

There’s only one thing on mays Christmas list this year: Snoofles ( only the best she says.. 😉 ) this year we’re bringing the Christmas presents for your pooch to our doors by stocking the beautiful, locally hand made bows & bandannas from snoofles.. so basically spoiling your babies has never been easier 🤫✨

We’ve got a wonderful collection in our reception for you all to browse or alternatively you can contact snoofles for any and all enquiries.. now I have to break the awful news to may that they are in fact not all for her.. wish me luck 🤞🏻🫣

A few weeks back we were invited out to a shoot by
Rosie Brown Media to capture our girl in all her glory 📸 and when I say I burst into tears when I saw the final product I mean it… 🥲 to have the raw talent to capture each aspect of mays personality & the love she brings us is truly nothing short of a gift ✨ every snap showcasing everything we love about her, which many never get to see.. her cheeky side, her teenage side, the true loving and kind girl we cherish each and everyday & everything in between.. these are photos we will hold onto and cherish for the rest of our lives.. remembering our girl at her happiest in her happy place 🤎

I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who’s just as obsessed with their dog as I am to speak with Rosie her talent is second to none, and the photos truly speak for themselves 🤎

Happy 5th 🎆 although the sky will be shining bright tonight there will also be many scared dogs.. check out Woodhead Woofers post all about that you can do to de stress your pooch and give them the best chance of calming down.. it’s important not to forget our valuable wildlife Tamar Vets has a great post on this all about how to keep them safe 🤎

What can you do now?

Lock/ close all exterior doors and windows ✅

Walk your pooch before the sun goes down ✅

Don’t leave your dog unattended in or outside of the house ✅

Put the tv on to cancel out some noise ( I know, awful 😉 ) ✅

If you know your pooch is scared of loud bangs and noises have a look at some calmers ( Stable Door Pets ) have a great range ✅

Create a safe space for your dog ✅

Check your garden is fully secure ✅

And most importantly stay calm.. if your stressed their stressed ✅

Not a whole lot of paranormal activity happening today… but we did see a glimpse of blue sky 😳 quickly followed by grey clouds.. spooky 😉 we hope you all have a great evening ghost hunting and keeping sweet treats out of your pooches eye sight 👀

After many months of planning and anticipation.. our custom crates are all done and installed ✨🙌 all thanks to Scott from Scott K9 Cages for all the hard work, planning and great skills for doing these for us! Our crews safety is absolutely paramount to me, ensuring that not only are they completely safe if the extreme happened but comfortable.. relaxed and secured, there is no measure to the extent of ensuring our crew are completely safe in my care that I won’t go to.. and now the wags bus is complete and dog road worthy 😉🙌 if you want to learn more about how to keep your dog as safe as possible while in a vehicle check out this blog https://www.agriapet.co.uk/guides-and-advice/car-travel-with-dogs-laws-and-safety/ for some useful tips ✨ again a massive thankyou for Scott for making our ideas a reality and for the incredible work 🙌 ( dogs in van for video purpose, please don’t transport dogs with a lead on around the neck )
