A Tribute to My Mum, Margaret

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out following the loss of my best friend, mum, adviser, confidant, and the most incredible supernanna, Margaret.

I’m truly overwhelmed by the love and support from my wonderful clients and fellow dog groomers, who have stepped in to ease the pressure and allow me the space to grieve. Your kindness means more than I can put into words.

No matter how much we try to prepare, nothing can ever soften the pain of losing someone so deeply loved. My mum was the bravest person I’ve ever known, and I am beyond proud to be her daughter. She faced every challenge with unwavering strength and positivity, never once complaining, never doubting that she would keep fighting.

She lived for her children and grandchildren—we were her world, just as she was ours. Grief is an incredibly lonely road, even though it’s one we all must walk at some point.

Hound Lounge was created out of love for my mum, to give us more time together—and we made the most of every single day.

This photo is from our very first trip to Crufts, a tradition we cherished. I shopped so much we could barely see her by the end of the day! We were supposed to go again this Friday, but instead, it will be the day I say goodbye 💔

Love you always, Mum—my biggest fan, forever. ❤️
