Carbeile Cats

Carbeile Cats I was a registered hobby breeder of Siamese, Orientals and Birmans. I have now stopped breeding. I fell into this hobby quite by accident.

I have always had cats and had promised myself one day that I would get a pedigree. After the loss of my father in 2003, I decided to get my first pedigree and ended up getting 2 Birmans, Oban and Cardhu. All my friends nagged me to let Cardhu have kittens and the breeder I had bought her from very kindly allowed me to have her on the active register. Needless to say the rest is History. The name

Carbeile is from where my Dad was born, Carbeile House in Cornwall. It just felt a very fitting name as this was also the birth of my breeding hobby and my dad was a great lover of cats. I do think he would have approved of this.

A lovely memory of this lovely litter from 2015. Sadly 2 have gone over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. One managed to get out and got hit by a car and the other sadly was found to have cancer.

Good Evening Ladies & Gents 😃. The West of England and South Wales Cat Society are pleased to announce that we will be holding a FUN Christmas photo competition this year. Entry will be £3 for non members and £2 for members for the first cat - then £1 per cat/photo after that. The classes and “rules” are posted on the West of England and South Wales Cat Society page so search the page request to join and then join in the fun with like minded members. Entries close on the 21st December so not much time to enter.

Ok folks - West of England & South Wales Cat Society Virtual Christmas Show 2022 is open for entries.

Beautiful rosettes will be awarded and sent to the winners of the classes. Electronic certificates will be sent to you if your cat get placed and all paid entries will be put into a virtual catalogue and sent out to everyone that entered.

So get taking those photos or dig out previous Christmas photos and show off your beautiful cats and how they are always part of your winter festivities.

This is a FUN show and will be judged on entertainment value only - no standard of points, colour or types will be taken into account.

Any cat can be entered, pedigree or non-pedigree, although we are a GCCF registered club, and as such, we cannot accept entries from recognisable banned breeds - our apologies.

To enter - take your pictures and pick your class! There is no age restriction to the pictures, and older pictures can be entered. It is entirely up to you which class you think best suits the picture! As this is a fun show - humans in the picture are acceptable!

Send photos along with details of the class you are entering, the cats “pet” name and your name and address by email to [email protected] or by post to 81, Warminster Road, Westbury, Wilts. BA13 3PJ
Entries will close on 21st December 2022 and the winners will be announced on 24th December 2022.

Classes:
1). Catmas Christmas Dress. Dressed up felines/owners. There must be a cat in the picture!
2). Christmas Cat-Astrophy! Speaks for itself! Let’s see those naughty felines.
3). ‘‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Sleepy cats in Xmassy type surroundings
4). Santas Little Helpers. Let’s see them helping with the wrapping, decorating the tree, overseeing the food etc..
5) Cats of Christmas Past. This is specifically for our Rainbow Bridge felines.
6). Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow. Pictures of fun and frolicks in the snow.

Cost of entry:
Non-club members -£3 for first picture, then £1 for any further pictures/cats/classes entered
Club members - £2 for first picture, then £1 for any further pictures/cats/classes entered

The Southern and South Western Birman Cat Club (S&SWBCC) and the West Of England and South Wales Cat Society are holding their shows together on the 27th August 2022 at Thornbury Leisure Centre nr Bristol. Lots of lovely prizes to be won plus many cash prizes at the S&SWBCC show. You could win over £100. So if you have a GCCF registered Birman or Household pet you could enter both shows or if you have any other GCCF registered breed you can enter the West of England show. In Memoriam.

We remember our furry friends who passed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge in the last 12 months.

We remember all our fur babies that have passed and especially those over the last year. Here’s a Poem I wrote. WHEN YOU’RE READY Today I died Today I stole a big piece of my Mummy’s heart ❤️ and took it to where I will fly. Today my Mummy cried. Because I’m not there, to gently lick her hair. To purr and sit on her lap, give her comfort and show I care. Today is quiet. Because my meow is far away. No pitter patting paws on the floor. No scratching at the bathroom door, and no one there to play. But, if you listen closely. Feel my whiskers as I pass by, hear my little meow and my purr next to you as you cry. You gave me a home, loved me with your whole heart, and held me close when it was time to part. So Mummy please don’t cry, as my spirit stays close by, to comfort and love you as you loved me. And stay with you until you are ready to let me fly free.
