Secondly an update on post brexit and covid ....... we are still busy, infact we have brought in and especially taken out more than ever with no issues and all import work completed and now printed of and given over when your babies are handed over .
Following a long conversation with HMRC I have got to the bottom off the import tax issue so here is a brief synopsis of how it works ...
When you pay for your pup it is a private sale between you and the seller in the EU. The pup is then your PET .. So YOU can then go and pick he or she up ..alternatively you can nominate someone to do this for your and give them written consent .. if you choose a private transport company ( 5 or less dogs ) then you do not pay import tax as the pup / dog is travelling as a pet ..
However if you choose to have the pup /dog brought over by a commercial transport company then they will enter the UK as freight and be subject to import tax of 20% of the value of the pup/ dog and handling agent fees ..
You cannot be charged import tax from the EU for gifts .
If you want further information contact HMRC not DEFRA or APHA as they are import conditions not the financial..

Just a update and an apology.. firstly an apology if I have not got back to any or been delayed in doing so . For the past few week and weeks coming I have been incredibly busy with only very limited time in the uk ... so for future reference if anyone is struggling to get hold of me or would find it easier our email can also be accessed by staff at the kennels who will also be able to help or let me know..
