I’ve worked in rescue for years… But every time I can’t take it easy

Two tiny Yorkshire Terrier girls Tilly and Tina —11 and 12 years old. Bred until their bodies gave out, tossed aside like rubbish. When they arrived, the smell of rotting dental infection was so strong it filled the car. Their mouths were full of pus and decay, their bellies sagging from tumours and matted fur, their eyes dull from exhaustion and neglect.
🐶 They came to us with no blankets. No toys. No history of being loved. And they were still so gentle. So grateful. So soft. And yet… they wagged their tails. They licked my hands. They asked only for love.

We rushed to vet and that’s what was discovered:
🛑 Tilly had pyometra, a deadly uterine infection—if we hadn’t operated within days, she would’ve died.
🦷 More than a dozen teeth had to be removed between them.
💔 Some tumours removed, some remain, too big to remove in one go. It would’ve killed them.

💸 Their vet bills have soared over £800 for both of them (spaying, dental treatment, tumor removing)
💖 We aren’t asking for the world. Just to cover part of this cost as we don’t ask for adoption fee for them, though hope to find a loving calm home, ideally retired person, who can give the love and care they were missing all their past life, who can kindly take a financial commitment to their further needs.
Every pound you give helps us keep our promise: we don’t leave the broken ones behind.

💔 Some might say, "Why save them? Why spend so much on dogs who may not have long left?"
This group is not for those, who think so. To us, every single life matters.

Tilly and Tina are not just “old dogs.” They are gentle souls who were used their whole lives—most likely in a puppy farm. Their only worth was in the puppies they produced, while they themselves received nothing. No soft bed. No toys. No kind words. Just years of suffering. And now they need us. All of us.

💛 Don’t they deserve happiness now? Don’t they deserve to know what true love and care feel like—even if it’s for the first time in their lives? Don’t they deserve to spend their final days in peace, not pain? We believe they do. And we hope you do too.

He’s just a tiny 2-year-old boy, a Patterdale x Yorkie cross, they had him from 8 weeks puppy…How could they let him get to this state 😞💔

When our amazing foster arrived to collect Buddie , we were horrified. Buddie’s body was raw, his skin crawling with hundreds of live fleas, scabbed over with open wounds.
The smell. The pain. The quiet way he sat, as if used to it. This is not a recent issue. This is long, painful neglect. And he wasn’t alone—he lived with a child, cats, kittens, another dog. Wwe’re scared to imagine the state of the rest animals.

Since arriving in the UK, Lila has shown what a precious companion she is. She’s fully housetrained, sleeps peacefully downstairs in her own bed, and is very affectionate once she bonds with you. She forms attachments quickly and loves being close to her humans—ideally, cuddled up on your lap or right by your feet.

🚶‍♀️ Outside, Lila is still adjusting. She can be leash-reactive on walks in busy places—bikes, cars, people, and other dogs can overwhelm her. Misho’s story began on a pile of rubbish in freezing temperatures—his mum Evie was found lying motionless, exhausted, her body covered in frost. She was protecting her puppies the only way she could: by holding them close and refusing to abandon them.

💔 Someone had thrown them out like trash. No food, no shelter, no hope. But Evie stayed strong. By pure luck, waste removal workers spotted her and called local volunteers. That moment changed everything.

🌟 Misho’s sister has already found her forever home, and Evie herself was rehomed in the UK. Now it’s Misho’s turn to find love. He may not remember the freezing night he nearly lost his life, but what he truly craves now is warmth, companionship, and a safe lap to cuddle into.

🐶 Misho is sunshine in a small furry body. He adores attention and thrives on human companionship. Wherever you go—he wants to go too! He’s clever, playful, and full of quirks: if he’s told off, he sulks adorably in the corner until someone apologises!

🐶 He’s happy living with other dogs and loves playtime, but he’s also quite fond of being the centre of attention (with no aggression at all). He enjoys cuddles, chin scratches, and just being near his favourite people.

🐱 At his foster, Misho lives peacefully with 6 cats and 15 other dogs. He’s house-trained, well-behaved, and loves to curl up on a soft blanket or your lap.

🐶 Misho will be happiest in a calm, loving home where someone is around most of the time. He’d love having a friendly resident dog to play with—or he could thrive as the only pet, as long as he’s showered in love and not left alone.

Rescue Story:

💔 Sam’s story is one of loyalty and quiet strength. During the early months of the full-scale war in Ukraine, he stood together with soldiers, guard at a checkpoint in Western Ukraine, faithfully watching over his post through uncertain and difficult times. When it became clear the frontline would not reach that region, many checkpoints were abandoned — and Sam was left behind to fend for himself. Thankfully, he was eventually rescued and now has the opportunity to find a loving home where he can finally feel safe, secure, and truly valued.

Detailed Information:

🐶 Sam is a dog who needs a short time to feel comfortable. He can be playful and enjoys interaction but is wary of sudden movements and loud noises, so a calm, stable environment without young children is best.

🐶 Initially, he was protective over his food but has since stopped this behaviour. Nevertheless, for the first few months, it’s wise to avoid offering highly valued treats (like bones) – we suggest it to ALL rescue dogs, but particularly for Sam, at least the first 6 months until strong bond and understanding between dog his family built.

🐶 Sam learns quickly and responds well to consistent, patient handling. His foster carers, a nice woman, saw how swiftly he adapted to gentle guidance, responding well in just a couple of days.

🐶 He enjoys dogs company, particularly of female dogs, and lives peacefully alongside cats he knows, though he may chase unfamiliar ones. On walks, he behaves well on the lead and at home likes to entertain himself with toys and balls.

Ideal Family:

🏡 Sam needs a home with an experienced owner who understands that dog needs a kind and trusted leader, who will protect from threats and can be trusted to make decisions. A peaceful, steady environment with regular walks will help him thrive.
