Today, I woke up to a new, terrifying reality: I have completely lost my voice.😞 I can't even whisper. In a life where I spend 18+ hours a day fighting for the voiceless, I am now silent. The irony is a cruel, heavy blanket.

Every single day is a sheer battle. It’s an endless cascade of emergencies, urgent rehomings, and vital vet visits. My body and mind are screaming for rest, but the calls for help keep coming. Rescue isn't a job; it’s an all-consuming commitment that takes up my entire life, 7 days a week.

How am I doing this? I still work three different jobs, I have a family and kids who need their mum, and I currently have 9 dogs under my roof—5 of my own and 4 precious foster souls. I am stretched so thin I feel like I am going to snap.

The hardest part? The constant, desperate calls for help. It breaks my heart to say no, but I am truly on the edge. I can't physically or mentally take on any more right now.

And the silent toll is immense: the endless stream of timewasters, the online harassment, and the 'experts' who drain what little energy I have left with judgment and negativity.

💔 Rescue Story

🐶 When the war tore through Ukraine, Alaya’s life was turned upside down. Her owner was called to the frontline and, desperate to keep her safe, placed her in temporary care. Sadly, the conditions were dreadful, she lived in a kennel near garages. When her owner reached out to help, she was found frightened and confused — someone had even used her for cruel “target practice” with an air gun. It's almost a year since her owner disappeared. No one knows if he still alive.. But most of all he wished Alaya to be happy. and fund loving family 🐾💖🏠

🐾 About Alaya

🐶 Even after everything she been through, Alaya’s heart remains full of love. She’s gentle, quiet, and deeply affectionate — a dog who melts into cuddles and leans into her person with trust and longing. She can be little shy in a new environment, but once she feels safe, she shows her warm and loyal personality, following her person everywhere with gratitude in her eyes.

🐶 Alaya can be selective with dogs and prefers to be the only pet and have all love to herself. Alaya is housetrained, polite indoors, and walks well on a lead.
