Rosa’s journey has been full of upheaval. Originally the cherished companion of an elderly owner who sadly passed away, she was taken in by relatives, and later rehomed again through friends. But long working hours, with no one at home for 10 - 12 hours a day, have meant Rosa has been left without the love and companionship she desperately needs.

She’s only around 3 years old, a tiny Pekingese cross (we guess so), and has already been through far too much for her young age. Rosa is the very definition of a companion dog – she loves being by her human’s side and struggles when left alone for too long. She now deserves a stable, loving forever home where she can finally put down roots.

💔 Rescue Story 💔
This lovely small medium-sized girl most likely 5-6 years old, was found wandering the streets of Burton upon Trent, nearly hit by cars before kind people managed to save her. She was taken straight to the vet – microchipped but not up to date details. The Dog Warden was informed, and they themselves recommended contacting us for help.

She was published across local social media groups in case anyone recognised her, but sadly no one has come forward and no one is searching for her. With clear signs of having puppies before, we strongly suspect she was abandoned by backyard breeders.😞

Despite all this, she is calm, gentle, and loving. Her finders sadly cannot keep her due to going away, so we urgently need a safe foster home.

💖 We decided to give her the name Hope, because after everything she has endured, she deserves the chance of a new beginning filled with kindness, safety, and love.

Malva has officially been adopted! 🐾❤️ From the heartbreaking beginning of her story to her beautiful new life, she is the perfect example of resilience and hope.

Found hidden in the bushes trying to protect her puppies, Malva has endured so much. She lost almost all her babies, but her gentle, hopeful spirit never wavered. After a long journey from Ukraine 🇺🇦 on a happy bus, she went first to Foster family to decompress and then to a foster-to-adopt family in Guernsey. We’re over the moon to share that she has found her forever home! 🥰

Her new family is completely in love with her, and she has settled in so well. Malva’s story is a beautiful reminder that every rescue dog deserves a second chance at a happy life.

She was evacuated to safety and has been living in foster care ever since, discovering warmth, companionship, and the joy of play again. She lived with 6 dogs and 9 cats. She really enjoyed cats company. But of course she always wanted more people interaction as she is so much affectionate.

Rescue Story

💔 Nina’s story is not an easy one to tell. She lived for almost a year with a family who mistreated her. She was beaten often, cried out in pain, and yet nobody helped her. Her food was irregular, walks were rare, and affection simply didn’t exist. Eventually, they abandoned her at a shop and never came back. Nina still loved them and been waiting there faithfully for three days, refusing to leave. The dog catcher came to take her to a kill shelter, but thankfully a kind-hearted rescuer intervened in time. From that moment, Nina’s new chapter began.

🐶 Nina is currently at Foster and that's what Foster family say about her : " Nina is a wonderful rescue dog and the perfect companion. She’s clever, calm, and gets along beautifully with adults, children, and other dogs. She has a gentle nature, rarely barks, and adores being petted. 🚶‍♀️ On walks, Nina gets very excited and pulls a bit on the lead, simply because she loves exploring the world that was once hidden from her. She’s still learning boundaries and how to manage her enthusiasm, but her intelligence and willingness to learn make her a joy to train.

🏠 She doesn’t like to be left alone. Her anxiety is understandable—being left behind once already, she now fears it could happen again. She needs a home where people are around most of the time.

🧹 Loud noises, sudden movements, and anything resembling punishment can still scare her. Her past abuse left her wary, but never aggressive. If frightened, she hides—but never bites. In time, patience brings trust, and trust brings joy.

🏡 Nina is best suited to a family or couple living in a peaceful environment, ideally with a private garden for her to run, play, and feel safe. Dottie/Dot (formerly Kerry) is a 2-3 year-old Dachshund–Spaniel cross who arrived in the UK over 3 months ago. She settled beautifully in what was hoped to be her forever home, showing herself to be affectionate, playful, and devoted to her people. Sadly, due to an unexpected incident, she now needs a calm, adult-only home.

💔 Why She Needs Rehoming 💔
Last week, while still recovering from a major mammary gland operation (involving removal of several tumours and a large stitched area), Dot bit a child in the home while being stroked. This may have been due to discomfort or pain, as the bite was entirely out of character. Social services are now involved, and despite loving her deeply, her owners feel they must prioritise their children’s safety.

“I don’t want this – she is family, which is why it hurts so much. Dot is my love, and the thought of moving her on is killing me. But with two children in the home, we have to be realistic.”

Dot is a true lap dog who adores cuddles and close contact with her trusted people, but she is also happy to sleep downstairs at night. She enjoys walks, toys, and travels calmly in the car. She’s housetrained, good with cats, and eager to please.

She can be protective of her owners and home, and is wary of some strangers and dogs, especially when her family is nearby. Outside the home, she may want to greet other dogs but can become reactive on a leash.

Dot needs a calm, adult-only home with experienced owners who understand her boundaries and can give her time and patience to feel safe. She is best placed with no young children or regular child visitors. In the right environment, she will be a deeply loving, loyal companion.

She recently had major surgery to remove mammary tumours and will require further, smaller surgery for additional masses — the rescue will arrange and cover this. All dogs are C.
