🎓 Graduation Day - Easy Peasy Puppy Class 🎓
As we wrap up week six, it’s amazing to look back at all the progress made by our fantastic puppies and their dedicated guardians! Over the course, we’ve covered 19 essential behaviours that will set both pups and owners up for success. On top of that, each guardian received 20 life hacks via email—tools they can keep using as their puppies grow.
It’s been an absolute privilege to guide Scout, Arlo, and Nia on this journey, watching their confidence and skills flourish. The dedication from each guardian has been inspiring; they’ve put in the hard work to give their pups a real advantage in navigating our human world.

🐾 Easy Peasy Puppy Class: Week Four Recap! 🐾
This week, we had a fantastic session focusing on building those essential puppy skills! We kicked off with some loose lead walking, starting with backwards walking and progressing to fun loose lead slaloms. It's all about creating a calm, controlled walk while keeping things engaging for your pup! 🐕🦺
We also introduced the "Leave It" command, first from the hand and then moving to leave it from the floor—such an important skill for safety and impulse control.
💡 On top of that, we dove into important topics like resource guarding, how to avoid escalation, and tackled biting and nipping on clothes. We worked on teaching alternative behaviours, so those puppy teeth aren't getting reinforced for chewing your best jumper! 🐶✨
All in all, it was a great day of puppy progression, laying down the foundations for well-behaved, confident dogs! See you all next week for more fun and learning! 💪🐾

What an incredible experience we have each day at Lancashire Canine Academy! It’s not just about the training – it’s about watching dogs of all breeds grow, learn, and have a blast while doing it. 🐶✨
We focus on intensive training, working with pups from different breeds, each with their own unique personality and energy. From practising recall and obedience to building confidence, we get to see these dogs blossom. And let’s not forget the best part – watching them play and interact with one another! It’s amazing to see how much they learn from socialising in a fun, positive environment.
What makes the day so rewarding is encouraging those positive interactions between the dogs, their owners, and trainers. We’re all about building trust and communication, whether it's with humans or with their fellow four-legged friends. 🐕💬

🐾 Easy Peasy Puppy Class - Week 2 🐾
What a fantastic session today! We were excited to welcome Nia, who missed last week’s class, and catch her up with the rest of the group.
Today, we worked on: 🔄 A recap of recall
👁 Focusing and eye contact with the owner
🍴 Feeding on the move
🛏 Settle mat training and lying down
💪 Plus, our puppies took on a confidence course, where we introduced them to new objects and made sure they felt comfortable and engaged with things they may not have seen before!
We also spoke about preparing for Fireworks Night (just 3 weeks away!). We recommend using YouTube clips of firework sounds, starting on a low volume and gradually increasing it, to help your pup become desensitised to the noise.

* Positive Reinforcement: Reward your dog's good behaviour with treats, praise, or playtime. This positive reinforcement encourages them to repeat the desired actions.
* Keep Training Sessions Short and Fun: Break down training sessions into short, enjoyable intervals to maintain your dog's interest and avoid overwhelming them. Make sure to keep it fun and engaging for both of you.

"Will they come back this time, or will I be chasing them for the next hour?" is a question that haunts you. You shout "Come here!" into the wind, hoping today isn’t the day they run into the street or get into trouble with another dog. This stress taints what should be a relaxing, bonding experience with your furry friend.
After the Recall Masterclass:
Now, picture a different scene. It's a sunny morning and you’re at that same park. You unclip your dog, and this time, you're calm and collected because you know what will happen next.
