🐾✨ Week Two of Puppy Class! ✨🐾

Our clever pups worked super hard this week and learnt some really useful life skills:

👣 Loose lead walking – using the backwards walking method to keep focus and build good habits from the start.
🔲 Recall squares – making coming back to their humans fun and rewarding!
📏 Recall at a distance – practising reliability even when further away.
👐 Drop – teaching them to happily let go of items when asked.

So proud of how quickly these young pups are picking things up – they’re little sponges right now and giving it their all! 💛🐶

Can’t wait to see how they progress in week three! 🌟

🍂🐾 Weather Update for Our Dog Walking Customers 🐾🍂

The weather has well and truly turned! With wetter walks now the norm, we kindly ask all customers to:
•Please leave your dog’s lead and harness by the door for us.
•Pop a towel at the door too — this helps us give your dog an extra wipe down after towelling, keeping muddy paws and wet coats to a minimum.
•If there’s a specific room or area you’d like your dog kept in after a particularly soggy walk, just let us know so we can make sure they settle back in comfortably.

This way, we can keep your homes as clean and dry as possible after our adventures! 🌧️🐕

Thank you for your support (and towels!) — it really does make a difference on these rainy days. 💛

TRAINING TIPS TUESDAY

Tip - Reward Timing ⏱️
Dogs learn best when they’re rewarded the moment they get it right! Try to deliver treats within 1–2 seconds of the behaviour so they make the connection.

Hi guys,
I need someone reliable to come do some jobs at the field. They need to show up on the correct day as I’ll have to close the field for them to do it.
I need;
a large box flower bed making,
a digging/sand box with lid.
A b&q shed built
Hedges & tunnel trimming up
Possibly some other odd jobs too

Please tag away!

🐾 Last Week’s Walks: We Survived the Chaos! 🐾

Between the roadworks popping up everywhere 🚧 and the back-to-school traffic jams 🎒🚗, last week definitely tested our patience (and our sat navs 😅)… but we made it through!

Despite the detours and delays, we still had tail wags, zoomies, muddy paws, and plenty of good vibes with our usual gang. 🐶💨 Whether it was sniffari strolls, off-lead fun, or group snuggles in the van, your dogs absolutely smashed it.

Thanks for your continued patience and understanding — especially when things don’t run quite as smoothly as usual. 💛

Here’s to another week of adventures (hopefully with less traffic!) 🚙🐕

💛 To all the reactive dog owners out there… 💛

Having a reactive dog isn’t easy. It can feel isolating, frustrating, and sometimes even heartbreaking when walks don’t go as planned or when others don’t understand. You might avoid certain routes, walk at quieter times, or feel like you’re always on alert — and that can be exhausting.

But please remember this: your dog isn’t “bad,” and neither are you. Reactivity is an emotional response, often rooted in fear, frustration, or excitement. By managing their environment, advocating for them, and working on training, you’re already doing something amazing — you’re putting your dog’s welfare first.

This weekend, Jesse (my own reactive girl) made a new friend while we were away. 🥹 Yes, we didn’t pass every dog perfectly. We were caught by surprise a few times. But we also had more good passes than bad ones — and that’s a win worth celebrating. 🎉

✨ Celebrate the small wins.
✨ Be kind to yourself on tough days.
✨ Know you’re not alone in this journey.

Your dog doesn’t need to be “perfect” to be loved — they just need you, their safe person. And trust me, they think the world of you. 💕

To all the reactive dog owners: you are doing an incredible job. Keep going, you’ve got this. 🐾

TRAINING TIP TUESDAY!

✅ Tip: Use your walks as training time!

Your walk is the perfect classroom!
👃 Work on recall when your dog is sniffing
🚶 Reward loose lead walking when they’re beside you
🙌 Make every walk a learning opportunity – and a bonding one too!

MYTH BUSTING MONDAY!

🐾 Myth: “A wagging tail means a happy dog.”

🚫 Truth: Tail wagging simply means arousal – not necessarily joy.
⚠️ Some dogs wag their tails when anxious, excited, or even before reacting.
✅ Learn to read the whole body – relaxed ears, soft eyes, and loose posture tell you much more about how a dog is really feeling.

🐾 Secure Field Housekeeping 🐾

To keep our field safe and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask all visitors to follow a few simple rules:

✨ No digging! – Please don’t allow your dogs to dig. If they do, let me know straight away so I can fill in the hole and keep the field safe.

✨ Pick up the poo! – There are 4 poo bag holders dotted around the field, so if you forget yours don’t worry – bags are provided. Please make sure every little parcel is picked up!

✨ Arrivals & departures – Please arrive as close to your booked time as possible. If you’re early, there’s a lay-by just down the road where you can safely wait.

✨ Stick to your slot – Sessions are 25 or 55 minutes. If your booking ends at 10.25am, you must be collecting your dog and leaving at 10.25am so the next customer can enjoy their time without delay.

✨ Leave it as you found it – Please gather up any toys and pop them back into the toy box, and make sure the hose pipe is put neatly back onto the tap before you leave.

Thank you for helping us keep the field safe, clean and stress-free for all our four-legged friends 🐶💚
