Our popular recall courses are back!! A full day of training your dog to return when called. We have fantastic feedback from these fun packed days so they will book up fast. If you are interested then please contact me with which date you prefer and I will send out details. Payment will secure your place.

Sunday 30th March 9.30 - 4.00

Sunday 11th May 9.30 - 4.00

Facilities include secure field, toilets, cafe, licensed bar, plenty of parking. AM and PM venues at neighbouring farms.

I’m sure many of you already know Tina and Atlas from our advanced class here at Bury Dog Training. Last night they won Volunteer Of The Year Award for their services as volunteer and therapy dog at Fairfield hospital. For Atlas this is an amazing achievement, as you can see from the post below he was rescued from a motorway in Cyprus in a sorry state and very nervous of people. When Tina first got him you couldn’t handle him at all. Tina has worked amazingly hard with him and he has achieved his Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards up to Gold level here with us and is currently working towards our Platinum Award. Since qualifying as a therapy dog he regularly visits patients on wards, showing off his ‘tricks’ like roll over, play dead and has even played the piano for them! He couldn’t have won this award without his sidekick Tina who gives up her time to help visitors to the hospital find their way to the correct department, making tea and toast for patients and answering visitor’s enquiries.

Massive well done to you both, Atlas is a credit to all the work you have put in with him Tina, from that shy pup to centre stage!! 👏👏🐕‍🦺

Karen Pryor (Born Karen Wylie, 14 May 1932; Died 4 January 2025) was an American author specialising in behavioural psychology and marine mammal biology. She was the founder and proponent of clicker training.

Our raffle for Rochdale Dog Rescue raised £176 so I have topped this up to a round figure of £200 which I will send over to the charity.

Fantastic day at The Dog’s Christmas Party!!

35 dogs in attendance over the classes, lots of laughs, competitiveness and happy smiling dogs! Our party games proved your training is paying off with lots of prizes being won.

Thanks to all who came along and for your contributions to the food and drink. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Thanks to my festively dressed helpers Avril, Chrissy and Gaynor for keeping everyone fed, watered and helping with the games and clearing up afterwards.

🎉🎉 Christmas Party 21st December 🎉🎉

Arrive at your usual class time for training based fun games, prizes, mulled wine, mince pies, nibbles, etc. A raffle will take place to raise money for Rochdale Dog Rescue so dont forget to bring some change.

No Scentwork class next week 14th December but a Scentwork fun game will take place at the usual scentwork time on the 21st. Solve the puzzle as a team with your canine assistants to sniff out the clues.

Feel free to bring nibbles, etc to contribute to the party food. Look forward to seeing you all there!
