Today we ran our first CowSignals course! An interactive training day to assess a farm through the eyes of the cow.

Everyone went away being able to look at a cow and read what she’s telling you about her environment.

Thanks for all who attended and Theeb for running it. Please let us know if you’re interested in a future course, as we’ll run another if there’s enough interest!

Suckler herds – are you…:

Fanatic about fertility?
Ecstatic for efficiency?
Keen on calf survival?
Diligent about data?
Bonkers about benchmarking?!

Join our Beef Suckler Survey to compare your animal health and fertility figures against others!

We’re collecting data to compare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), so you can see where your herd performs well and if there are any low-hanging fruit to work on.

If you want to participate, fill in the survey here https://forms.office.com/e/RVu0my0qYy by 30th Nov 2023, or phone the office and ask us for a paper copy.

In the spring we’ll run a meeting to compare figures anonymously, and give out prizes for the best performers!

TB testing: YOU have the choice over who does yours. And we're fully geared up for it if you choose us!

We have 3 vets who TB test and 2 ATTs (non-vet TB testers).

Our ATTs, Bea and Jess, get excellent reviews from farmers about their TB testing. They grew up on farms around cattle, and have rapidly become the most experienced TB testers in our team because they do so much.

We also have the next generation of handheld computers to make the recording keeping easy!

We can sort all of your TB testing needs, whether government or for pre-movement testing. Just speak to us to find out more.

If you wish to switch your TB testing to us, phone UK Farmcare on 0800 612 5289.
