🐾Pongo🐾
Following a recent Instagram post of this lovely boy, we’ve had a few requests for more information, so we’ll re share his story from last year!
Pongo came to us in April last year, initially for two weeks of water treadmill livery while his owner was working away. As a tall and lanky 4yr old we wanted to build muscle, develop strength and increase fitness.
For two weeks Pongo went on the horse walker each morning and water treadmill every afternoon, we progressed slowly on the treadmill as he found the sessions hard to begin with.
After two weeks there was noticeable progress so it was decided Pongo would remain with us a further fortnight. During this time we then reintroduced lunging and light ridden work alongside the treadmill sessions.
The beautiful shine on his coat is purely there from health and well being, no additional supplements or grooming products were used (just a good old elbow grease bath before he went home!)
Costs: This livery package is available now at £350 per week, this includes all forage, bedding, care and exercise. We do ask you provide your horses own hard and feed and supplements.
What to bring: Your horse, their rugs and hard feed! We provide everything else!
Where will they live: Our liveries stay in a large American style barn in the purpose built rehab centre! Horses do live in while they are with us.
