Happy new year to everyone who has supported my business over the last year and to everyone who will support us going forward.
2024 ended differently to what we expected but our gorgeous little one couldn't wait to meet you all (and your fur babies!) any longer!

With the cold weather we'll and truly upon us and the gritters out in force. Please remember to wipe or wash your dogs paws thoroughly after each walk. Grit is toxic to dogs!

A gorgeous morning walk today!
Murphy didn't want to get out of bed but a few treats and some gentle encouragement and we got there!

My Calendar is open for 2025 bookings and August is almost entirely full. To avoid disappointment please get your dates to me as soon as you can.
I have reduced my availability for 2025 and will be only taking dogs on very selectively as we get used to our new family.

It always feels like an achievement to get Mr Murphy out on a walk. He's a very nervous boy who would much rather curl up in his bed and have a nap. He also has very strong breaks, there's no persuading him if he doesn't want too 🤣We try every day, we don't always succeed but when we do it's great!

A few weeks ago Miss Ella cane to stay.
Her owners booked her in for 5 Emmi pet sessions over her visit and look at the difference!
The Emmi pet is a ultra sonic device that doesn't vibrate or make a sound to thin and remove stubborn plaque. It is used as a preventative measure to thin and soften the plaque so it can be removed.
Ella tolerated the sessions very well and walked away a happy girl with some nicer smelling breath:)

When dogs come to stay with us they don't just sit in our house waiting for you to return. Along with lots of cuddles and fun walks we provide enrichment activities.
One of our favorites are these flavoured bubbles ! They are Ted's all time favorite!
Mr Milo is staying with us at the moment, he is blind and on a diet so finding enrichment for him can be quite a challenge.
Today I got the bubbles out for Ted. However Milo loved following the different smells around the room! Even if he couldn't see the bubbles he had a blast and is now snoozing off his excitement!

What do you use to keep your dogs food interesting and tasty ? Because eating the same food every day must get boring right ?

We feed our dogs Platinum Pet Food UK their kibble is semi moist which my boys love!

But we also have lots of things to keep it interesting for them...
Here's some ideas

Bone broth. This is powdered and turns Into a gravy when water is added. Contains lots of collagen and is good for the joints

Pumpkin puree - a sweet but healthy treat perfect for putting as a dollop on the side or spreading on a lick mat.

Unsweetened natural Yoghurt - good for all of that healthy gut bacteria

Salmon oil and tinned fish in olive oil or tomato (a firm favorite) - great for a shiny coat and healthy joints.

Dried toppers- a fun way to add some different nutrients and change the flavour of their food.

Wet food- we use this only as a treat or to add to lick mats.

We also add fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs sometimes too.
In winter we add a bit of warm water because a hot meal is so nice after a long walk in the snow ❄️

Happy 1st September where has 2024 gone ?!?!

Just a little update for you on my plans for Maternity leave and 2025 onward...

Baby Burton is cooking well and due Jan 2025.
I will be taking some time off from boarding to rest and prepare between November and April.
I have already had to stop my regular dog walks due to some health issues and problems with my car. I don't see me being able to pick these back up again until the spring.
All bookings already in the diary during this time will be honored but will be managed by my wonderful husband.
From April onwards I will be reducing my capacity from 6 dogs to 4. All dogs will need to undergo an extra risk assessment and meet and greet with baby before their stay. I will have to be far more selective with dogs that can stay.
Unfortunately all dogs with major behavioural or anxiety issues will no longer be able to be boarded with us. However I can help you find someone who can help. (If you have any questions around this please message me).

I will be starting off my return slowly in April and the whole month is already booked.
Due to my reduced capacity I am expecting I will book up far faster than in previous years. Lots of summer dates are already gone!
Please book early to avoid disappointment!
