We have taken in several extremely unwell Kittens who have been rescued from filthy and unliveable conditions!💔
The kittens, aged approximately 6 weeks old, have been named Bellingham, Rice, Harry, Pickford, Gareth, and Foden in recognition of our hope and their fighting spirit, just like the England team in the current UEFA Euros 2024.
🌟We urgently need your help.
The cost of medical treatment, special food, and around-the-clock care is overwhelming.
An RSPCA inspector removed 27 cats from a property that can only be described as filthy and utterly unfit for any living being.
What they found was heartbreaking. 💔
27 cats living in an extremely sad situation —unwell, filthy, and frightened.
Among them were several frail kittens battling with severe anaemia, respiratory infections, sore eyes, and other flu-like symptoms.
The Kittens were covered in fleas and filth and matted with their own excrement, demonstrating the unimaginable conditions they had been living in.
The team here at CDCH are determined to do whatever it takes to give these kittens a fighting chance, but they're extremely poorly, anaemic, and very weak.
Sadly two of the kittens became extremely poorly and were taken to an emergency veterinary hospital where they received critical intensive veterinary care, IV fluids, and antibiotics.
Despite our tireless efforts, the 2 kittens sadly passed away.
The remaining kittens are in a fight for survival, and the path ahead is fraught with challenges.
Our hearts break for them, and we are and will continue to do everything within our power to help them pull through.

Lily is the highlight of our day!! 😻
This sweet girl adores affection and has sadly found herself at CDCH for much longer than she had hoped, most likely because she looks a bit different from other cats, having had her ear tips removed.
Don't let this put you off - as you can see, Lily does not let this affect her love of fuss, and can't get enough of a good head rub!

Roo got so much love after her visit to the vet!
Roo has found a wonderful home🏡! After a recent visit to the vet, her new best friend, Gus, made sure she felt loved😻.
We caught up with Roo's adopter:
"We decided we wanted a kitten for our 1-year-old Gus as he was very playful and energetic and needed a friend - so we filled out a ‘perfect match’ form through CDCH. It really was a perfect match!
We met Roo, who had been found alone at three weeks old on a roundabout. She had been very poorly but had fought through and now needed a home where she could learn how to play and behave from another cat.
Roo proved to be the perfect friend for Gus!
