Cows
Daisy and Edward, mother and son, are two of our elderly cows. They’re both knocking on now but Daisy still looks after her boy, no matter how old he gets 🐮
Marmosets should not be in captivity and thankfully tighter regulations are coming into place in 2026. However they do still make their way to rescue. We in no way advocate these animals as pets and firmly believe they belong nowhere but the wild. When we rescued our poorly older pair from a small bird cage, after getting them well, we built an enclosure for them to provide them a suitable home. We were unable to get them a place in a suitable sanctuary due to the demand for places for unwanted Marmosets. They’ve been here a couple of years now. They spend more time in their inside quarters over the winter months, it is heated with UV lights installed, which are essential for their health. Whilst wintering in we work on their enrichment and stimulation. Naturally Marmosets eat a lot of tree gum and sap and we order a sappy gum specially made for marmosets that we mix up, which is full of nutrients that they need and also replicates some of their natural behaviours. Here you can see one of our boys licking the sticky gum from his little wooden gum feeder. As much as they are loved here, we hope that a day will come when we no longer see primates in captivity
Vincent
Little Vincent has been in our care some weeks. He came in very nervous and has stayed pretty reserved int he cattery environment. One night in his new home and just look at him….. he’s loving it.
Sprout came to us on deaths door and now he’s got to here! Praying this continues.Parvo is sick a terrible virus. Please can I age your puppies 🙏🏻
Tilly
This poor girl was tied to the post of our Kennels drive tonight. Thankfully noticed and not stuck out all night.
Poor girl was clearly scared and confused and tied up with a really heavy chain. No note, no details and she’s clearly had a litter in the past.
She’s in safe and we will update tomorrow.
All we need right now but she obviously needed us.
Here we go again 😓
Wendy
Safe to say Annie, now Wendy, is excited to be in her new home. She’s got the most lovely new owners, which is just what she deserves 🐴
