New Hope Animal Rescue

New Hope Animal Rescue An Independent non-destruct rescue dedicated to helping the animals most in need. We also give sanctuary to rescued horses and rescued farmed animals and fowl.

New Hope Animal Rescue is an independent, non-destruct animal rescue and Sanctuary. New Hope is dedicated to helping animals on facing euthanasia or in immediate danger and those with either medical needs or behavioural problems that make them difficult to place. We aim to help as many animals and in particular those that have been turned away elsewhere. We have two sites, one in Dartford Kent whi

ch concentrates on our dog rescue, where we hold about thirty dogs at a time and the other is our Sanctuary site in Herne Bay, Kent. Our Sanctuary site looks after about three hundreds animals at a time ranging from dogs, cats and small domestics to cows, sheep, pigs and horses. We occasionally rehome those that we consider rehomeable, but often act as the middle man between immediate danger and rescue spaces. We work alongside a vast pool of other rescue organisations to make safe as many as we can. New Hope has no paid staff, including its Founders who work full time to cover as much cost as possible. We are always in need of donations to cover a vast array of expenses that are incurred including feed and bedding, enormous vets bills, kennel bills and fuel costs for transporting. If you would like to donate to help towards saving these animals via paypal it`s [email protected] (Please note there are 3 l`s) or direct transfer is available to New Hope`s Bank account,

Last week we welcomed little Hanora into the rescue, she’s currently at HQ.
She was a vet referal after the people that bred took her in with a broken leg, that we understand was injured by being caught in a crate, and couldn’t afford the treatment.
We of course offered her a space and the vet bill has been transferred to New Hope and she has now undergone her surgery and is now having the rest and recovery that she needs.
If anyone would be in a position to donate towards her surgery and upcoming post op X-rays we would be very grateful, the donation details are included in the pictures attached.
As always a big thank you to those that do, we can only take these cases with your support

Little Titch came into the rescue this week. His owner died sometime ago and he has had a couple of homes since, sadly the last one couldn’t keep him because of issues with the landlord.
Titch is seven and is very scared of the big wide world. He just needs a minute to realise he doesn’t need to be scared of new people.
Thankfully, we’ve got a great place lined up for him 🙂

Another little unclaimed stray we’ve managed to find a place in rescue. Brighter future ahead 🙂

This lovely young adult female is DESPERATE for a rescue offer.
She is a short legged compact girl, about knee height, she’s very calm and sweet in nature and she is testing really positively with other dogs. Again very calm and well mannered. Dog test video available for interested rescues

Male Corso young adult. Acts like a big playful pup. Knows some basic commands.
Very DOG AND PEOPLE FRIENDLY!
People on the microchip rehomed him and it appears he has been passed around. Pervious owner on chip did state he has lived with a children and is very well behaved.
He is very DOG FRIENDLY. I can send dog meet videos to interested rescues

Some of our hard working tools need replacing so here’s a list of the things we need most if anyone would be kind enough to order a gift for the New Hope Sanctuary.
We know wheel barrows are expensive but they’re also vital here. We are happy to accept second hand barrows in good order but due to a lack of time we do struggle to collect.
We now have a different community group every day during the week, including assisted learning, children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and young offenders, so good working tools are essential.
To those than can help, Many Thanks 🙏🏻

Little Jessie made it into New Hope today. She has been living in a hoarding situation (items not animals) since July, probably longer, and due to her nervous disposition and the sheer amount of stuff in the house nobody has been able to catch her.
We became aware of the situation last week and have been working on getting her out since…. And here she is 🙂
