A LEGAL requirement in the UK and a necessity for all the dogs I walk is that your dog MUST be wearing some form of ID tag with the following info on it 👇
🧔👩 Owner's name or surname
🏡 Owner's address and postcode
Optional but highly recommended extra information is your phone number, too!📱 I always say to clients that you are welcome to add my phone number as an extra port of call 🩷

🐕 Whilst a certain level of socialisation and obedience is required for all of the dogs who wish to join our group walks, it is vitally important that us professional dog walkers also continue to instill the desirable behaviors needed for each group of dogs walking together!
🐶 This means that us dog walking pro's MUST practice and repeat what we are expecting of our canine clients, so that when the inevitable time arrives that the above examples of training are actually NEEDED... The dogs already know the drill! 👏🏻🩷⭐

🗺️ TRACKERS! 👏🏻⤵️
🐶 I recently had a teeeeeeny tiny dog get spooked by two off lead dogs running towards us to say hello (they were dogs that knew me and they have all met one another before)! 🥹
🫠 Unfortunately, Mabel, who is normally un-phased, got scared that day and she bolted. This is completely out of character for her!
She was subsequently missing for nearly 1.5hrs of HELL for myself and her owners 🥴
🩷 All is now well 💆🏻♀️🩷
‼️ HOWEVER‼️
After this incident, I have purchased @tractive trackers to offer to all our clients, for a small monthly fee 🐕
🐕 I'm hoping everyone is pleased with this new additional option.
The trackers do rely on GPS signals and therefore as a disclaimer I will be honest when I say they are not perfect, but from experience having one on your dog is better than nothing at all when you are standing in the woods crying and feeling utterly helpless 🥹🗺️🩷
I LOVE my job!!! 🩷

But if you were to ask me on a deeper level I'd say this ⤵️
🐶 I LOVE IT ... BUT...!
... 🐕 It is one of the most draining jobs both physically AND mentally!
🐶 I spend a LOT of time trying to keep up with daily updates, admin, messages from 40+ clients a day 24/7 (alongside friends/family/group chats) whilst working and driving between clients.
🐶 I walk an average of 16,000+ steps a day which is a physical strain, meaning I often ache like hell! It's also mentally draining keeping on top of 12-18 dogs a day. Every day. All whilst aiming to be ✨ PERFECTION ✨ at all times for the dogs AND their owners who all have specific needs/demands/expectations/change ups.
🐶 I am not only a dog walker/pet sitter/claw clipper/drop in provider but I am payroll, receptionist, everyone's friend, dog advisor, first aider, photographer, manager, website designer, marketing executive, go to person in a dog crisis, graphic designer, village key holder, accountant, social media slayer, administrator, CEO, driver, cleaner, errand runner and agony aunt, all in order to provide a 5* personable vibe to 40+ individuals each week✌🏻
➡️ WOULD I CHANGE IT?! Would I f*ck 🤣
🐕 Dogs are my way of life. They will ALWAYS come first and they will ALWAYS be worth ALL of the hard work that goes into caring for them properly... Even if people think I am "just walking the dog" 🥰🐕
Unpopular opinion 👀⤵️
😡The majority of messages I received were filled with anger aimed at the culprits when I posted this rubbish clear up to my stories (which I get) BUT...
Am I frustrated by it? Yes... 🙃
Is it eye roll provoking? Yes... 🙄
❌😡 Am I angry and pissed off? No... 🤷🏻♀️
🙈🙉🙊 I am someone who when disappointed in people, will simply withdraw as much as humanly possible from a situation 🫥
🗑️ This particular people issue however was affecting the wildlife in our ancient woodlands (aka - my office) and withdrawing myself was not an option!
🚮 So instead of looking at the pile of 💩 each time and getting angry about it, I grabbed some black sacks and gloves, took my dog and did something to sort it out ✌🏻
Hopefully this will inspire one of you to do the same another time! 🦊🦡☺️🌍🍄🟫🏞️☮️🕊️🌳
💤 Ozzy had The. Best. Sleepover. EVER! 🐶 🩷

🏀 We played with ALL THE TOYS 🦴
🤗 We snuggled 🫂

🐕 Gorgeous boy, Dash, struggles with his back dew claws curling round and they grow SO FAST!!!
✂️ Thankfully for his owners, I am now offering a claw clipping service, so I am able to help them keep his nails in check from now on ✅ and what a good boy he was too 😍
➡️ Understandably, not everyone feels entirely confident with clipping their dogs claws and by asking me, as one of Dash's trusted humans, it is much less stressful and less time consuming for him (and his owners!) to ask me to clip his nails when he's tired after a walk, rather than them having to venture out to the vet or groom room 🥰💆🏻♀️

Chilham is beautiful in itself, with picturesque medieval cottages - visiting the village also offers you refreshment opportunities in the form of The Church Mouse Tearoom ☕ and two pub options, The White Horse in the square and The Woolpack Inn 🥂🥗🥤🍟
💆🏻♀️✨Please be mindful and respectful to all nature, animals and private properties in the area. Where necessary, ensure your dog is kept on a lead as some areas will have livestock or young wildlife in. Don't forget country code, stick to public footpaths and close any gates behind you! There are also horse riders and mountain bikers in the area to keep an eye out for ✨☺️

🐕 My partner knows where I walk and the routes I take. He also works nearby and can be with me in minutes 🚨
🐕 I carry laminated emergency contact details on my person and I also ensure my emergency information is up to date and available on my phones home screen. 🚑
🐕 I have set my phone up for emergencies - a few taps in the correct place and my phone is calling the services for help! 📱
🐕 I carry a Plegium spray. This sends a notification when pressed to my emergency contacts and sends my location.📍
🐕 WhatThreeWords - a fantastic app which can pin point your location. VERY helpful in the countryside!📍
🐕 Trackers. My Tractive dog tracker not only tracks dogs but me too! My partner can see this and it notifies him at the beginning and end of each walk. You can also get tracking on your phone 📱📍
🐕 I have taken self defence classes and let's face it, I have multiple dogs who DO pick up on my energy. They always have my back and they DO look out for me like I do for them 🩷🥹
🐕 I can change a flat tyre in about 20minutes nowadays. DEFINITELY something every single person should learn how to do and be prepared for!
Fortunately, I have only had 💩 situations a couple of times! Swiftly resolved with thanks to the above precautions in place 🙏🏻
