Known for our HiWither design, we pride ourself on the high quality of design and manufacture or all our products, offering an extensive range of numnahs and saddlepads to fit all types and brands of saddles. However, with such a vast array of saddles on the market, it is not always possible to find a numnah or saddlepad that fits properly - so NuuMed also offer a bespoke service. Because we desig
n and make all our products on site, we are able to offer a personalised "made to measure" service. We take outline drawings, create a pattern which is then digitalised into our computerised cutting machine. A calico pattern is sent for checking and once that is approved we make the bespoke numnah/saddlepad/accessory in choosen materials and colours.

The HiWither saddlepad design that we know and love today was the idea of NuuMed's founder, who dreamed of creating a saddlepad that fitted correctly and ensured complete comfort for the horse.
NuuMed's products are designed to do just that; with ample clearance over the spine, no added pressure points, soft quilting/binding to prevent rubbing and natural wool options to absorb pressure/moisture.
When your horse is relaxed and comfortable, performance will follow. Keeping the back free from pressure and discomfort, allows them to move more freely whether you enjoy to jump, dressage or hack!!

NuuMed started making saddlepads, numnahs and accessories in Somerset, England over 25 years ago and we are still here! We have made some changes at the factory but only to improve the service we offer and to ensure our products are always top quality.
We now have over 90 styles of saddlepads and numnahs plus accessories in the range. We also make an ever increasing number of made to measure items alongside a booming line in embroidered saddlepads for both companies and individuals alike.
The company was started by a fabulous man called Ian Pocock who, having ridden all his life, realised an ambition to create a saddlepad that:
- fitted saddles properly
- was comfortable for the horse
- looked good and kept on looking good for a long time
- was easy to look after ie. it could be washed day in, day out if necessary
So he made a NuuMed HiWither saddlepad that fitted all these criteria and then another.......and in his lifetime he created over 40 different designs. At NuuMed we still firmly believe that the standards he set in design, product make up, material choice and customer care are some of the best you can find.
The NuuMed Team
Every NuuMed numnah, saddlepad or accessory you purchase will have been made by our highly skilled teams of cutters, machinist and finishers. A number of them have been with us for many years and some from the very beginning! This huge wealth of experience, coupled with the crucial, up to date, vibrant input from our younger members of staff makes for a first class production team.
That team is completed by our very efficient ladies who organise the production schedules and those who pick, pack and despatch all the products.
And when you contact NuuMed for advice, the people you talk to will not only know the products inside out, but collectively between them have many years of experience with horses.
