They slept in a snuggle puddle last night so I’m confident we are out of the woods and I can ‘boast’ my boys’ awesomeness 😅💖💖

Here is Hercules and Lawrence meeting newbie, Lincoln who’s just out of the ladies’ cage… meeting for the first time.
All 3 are intact.
All 3 are Adoring the company of their brothers (Lincoln is from a later litter).
Mice are communal, and Need that companionship to Thrive!

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS ALONE! ⚠️
But look how amazingly my group of boys are doing 💕
They were even split for 2/3 to go on honeymoons, and then were reintroduced using the carrier method, and look at them go! 🥹💕
It does indeed seem that when hormonal aggression is addressed, both sexes of mice are indeed social and thrive on companionship!
(I know, I know, mice aren’t rats! But what they are is a colony based animal with social needs just the same as rats, and only 20 years ago petshops were selling lone male rats because two would apparently fight to the death… but then we learned better, so now we do better!)

*and there are now a few vets around the country that can safely and affordably neuter mice that aren’t suitable for living with others while intact… I will happily pass on details if you message me!
